I love the art! I was confused about how to play the game. There needs to be something in-game to communicate what the player needs to do.
Arts is awesome. Nailed it. I would like a how to play and complete with a gameloop. Very good job on arts.
The art style is really beautiful and the atmosphere feels cosy))
I would have loved to see your completed vision of this. The art and sound design is fantastic and left me super interested in experimenting with making potions!
I thought the atmosphere of this game was very well done, you should definitely put a little how to play section on the game page itself so people have a better understanding of how to play what you do have here!
Thanks! Really appreciate the review even if its so unfinished, If i had time, since I was unfortunately busy for a lot of the time we had there was a lot I wanted to add that I was unable to </3
Very cute art! I wish I understood better how to play it game because I love the concept. I just have trouble understanding if I'm making a bad potion, or the order to make it in just isnt correct because I haven't successfully made one. Maybe an animation to the pot like it filling with an ingredient and then shaking if it is wrong would help some visual clarity without having to out right say it! The music was also a great choice for the vibes!
Yeah 100%, there was a lot more I wanted to add but I wasn't here for the first couple days so there was a lot I still had to do like an actual tutorial, effects for good, bad potions, adding encylopedia for potions you "discover" or are "tasked" to make, additionally I wanted a gameplay loop like potion orders from customers with a time limit to make the right one kind of like a papas freezeria-esque style but sadly I just didn't have the time </3
Really chill music and a beautiful hand-drawn art style! The whole thing has a very cozy feel to it. Too bad it didn’t get any further, I would have loved to see more of it!
Art was all done by @romulanspy, It is such a shame with such good art but sadly as the dev I wasn't here for a lot of the time we had for the jam so there was a lot I wanted to add that I just couldn't but thank you for taking the time to play it through and for the review!
The first thing I noticed when I opened the game was how charming it is; it really hooked me and made me want to keep playing, even without a tutorial. It would be great if you could add a basic "how-to-play" guide to the page later on—covering some of the possible combinations and how to execute them—since I didn't quite figure out exactly how to do that.
Appreciate the review! No, for sure, sadly with the time crunch there was so much I wanted to add that I couldn't, to be honest i was hesitant to even upload such an unfinished game but decided its better to get what feedback I can as a beginner dev <3
