Bump! Wrapping up a busy month of UX QA reports and localization work!

Bump! Busy week playing and rating GMTK Game Jam entries!

If you're looking for constructive UX/onboarding feedback (not just a score), feel free to DM me your submission via Discord (lourdes.localizes) or reply to this thread. I'd be happy to take a look if I have time!

Lourdes gave us feedback on Atom Intern, our submission for the GMTK 2026, with really helpful comments and a list of UX problems we had, so we could fix them for our post-jam release! Thanks again!

I'm so glad that it was helpful! Looking forward to trying the post-jam release (≧∀≦)

Bump! After a while writing QA reports and editing scripts, I've decided to officially dip my toes into videogame writing!✨

I specialize in narrative adventures and visual novels! You can check my portfolio out at my VGen page 🌸

Bump! After reviewing 16 GMTK Game Jam games, I wrote a Ko-fi article highlighting the three most common patterns I found \(^o^)/ I'd love for you to check it out!

Hey! Thank you for reviewing my demo. Just by reading your comment, I can tell you've put into thoughts and care during the reviewing process. Thanks for answering all my guiding questions, as those are the areas I'd like to leave a quick check mark on before anything else. That is to say, your care towards what you are doing is a gold mine itself!

Regarding your feedback, it's fantastic that you lay out specifics regarding your player experience. For example, you mentioned color gave you a vibe of 'oil painting', which was not something I actively thought of during development. Previously, my focus was getting things done in X amount of time, and many things were decided on the spot. Thus, it's like a fresh air to me as I wasn't even sure what exactly can be considered as specific strengths of the game lol

You suggestion for improvement is pretty spot-on. It's in line with some of the other feedback I got, mainly the essence is to 'show' what happens, instead of having some summary line with time skips. It's reassuring to have your feedback as another piece of evidence to direct improvement direction for demo 2.0. Further, I find your pacing comment interesting, since it's slightly in deviance of my other feedback. Again, this adds value, because this means I can perhaps consider this as one of the key questions to find out in survey or have some dedicated case studies to understand this element.

Overall, appreciate your time and care! Best of luck for reaching your own goals!

Thanks again for your help with playtesting our Visual Novel project. The result was very detailed and we got some many good pointers for improving the game, especially with the UI/UX as well as narrative issues.

Was a pleasure working with you :D

Thanks to you! I can't wait to see how the game turns out (≧◡≦)

Nope.

Nothing at all. (;´∀`)
