I adore the atmosphere you built with your writing (the darkness and grunge made for such an immersive read), and I adore your usage of the two windows! Such a unique experience, I wholeheartedly enjoyed myself the whole way through. Captured Knight is eye catching and fresh--you did a wonderful job!
I absolutely adored the prose for this game, there’s something so satisfying about the way it began with such a soft love story between the king and queen and the progressive dread when it came to the involvement of the princess, and then a jump cut to almost horror. That horror spin for the narrative was especially great, which I think is a theme that was so under utilized for this jam and this game has definitely filled the niche.
The two window format was such a neat take even if it took me a bit of fiddling to be comfortable with how it was set up, but I think it really helped the game stand out even more. A lot felt very experimental for this submission in particular, but to see that the leap was taken to head in those directions is so refreshing and satisfying, especially with such an enthralling writing style.
I was so drawn in by the descriptive writing! This felt so much like the fairy tales I grew up with, but also so fresh. The second person POV was a great match for the writing and very immersive! I really enjoyed this!
This was such a unique experience! I'd never seen the double windows used before and it's such an unusual and cool way of representing the game. I think that next time, it would be worth putting a little more time into the narrative/proof-reading, but I love the creativity involved!
I didn't want to play the game at first because I didn't understand the character or the visuals. But I downloaded the game and played it because I'm a VN fan. The narrative and overall experience was really good.
This was super interesting! I was shocked when I booted up the game and saw two different windows but it was cool seeing something so different! The writing was well done, I could really feel the doubt and anxiety of the princess through the descriptions. Super neat stuff!
