I really like the concept overall - though I would agree the amount of things you're trying to explain and put into the module will make it difficult in a trifold format. The ideas of spirit animals are awesome and would be a really fun experience for both the Guide and the Players to interact with. I think this in itself would make a really fun session.
I'm not sure how the ending is going to work. My gut feel is that the end state (3 successes) is quite hard and will just end up with alot of dice rolling to get there. Not checking for super accuracy, but some prelim quick calculations seemed to get to about 9 rolls needed to get to a 75% chance of 3 successes, so needing 2 win states would be nearly 20 rolls overall. If I was running its something I would change straight away.
I really like the villagers - I think this will be an excellent way to bring this concept into these stories. And the puzzles are pretty cool - I'm already thinking of ways to expand these to how i would want to play them at the table.
Not critical for review but wanted to identify just incase:
I think there's a mistake, but the way its written I'm not 100% sure. The guide intro says the coyote is detrimental, but the rest of the mechanics and also the box about the coyote doesn't appear to give that same impression.
