How does the game fit the theme?
The thing you can't trust is the game's own interface.

You have a laser sight. It starts honest, and as your paranoia rises it starts lying — an offset, an oscillation, a delay, a false refraction off a wall. The bullet always goes exactly to same point; only the line disagrees. Every shot becomes a small act of trust or distrust in the readout that's supposed to be helping you.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Only third-party assets

Hey! Nice game you created, I like topdown shooters and didn't see any other in the jam yet :)
I think the effect with the crosshair would have worked better if the mouse cursor would be removed during play. I could still easily aim using that.
Other than that the disorientation worked pretty good :) Nice game!

Coll game. Was fun seing everything change with more stress. The enemy abilities kept it fun and entertaining.

I like that you created a top-down shooter! I would have preferred it to be harder as at first I dodged the ghost enemies, but then I just collected them.

I trusted my cursor, and the character shoots perfectly to the cursor point, so my brain just ignored the laser sight completely. I would suggest trying to disable the laser sight and seeing if inaccurate bullets work better than the laser.

At first I thought the small enemies were easy to kill, but they were the hardest ones!

Okay this is a great idea and it's executed well. Simple to pick up, hard to put down. Would happily play a full version of this.
