Funny premise, classic gameplay.

The game needs to be polish , especially audio, good simple pixel art but it need more stuff for immersion!

Nice game! I would add a dodge mechanic and some audio.

Submitted

Nice game! Do wish there was audio but still really good.

Developer

I agree on audio. Thanks for trying it though!

Overall the game looks good sticked to the game theme, although some improvements needed on the visuals and audio part.. there need some audio apart need to be added in it.

I disagree with some of the comments that the enemy bullets should be faster - you should be able to dodge them. I Wish there was some sound, but otherwise great overall. I like the elevator cutscene! Maybe add some elevator music there.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for your comment! I agree, sound would have been great, but I was running out of time unfortunately. Maybe next time. Loved your game as well!

The art is good and the gameplay is fun. Though I agree with other people that the bullets should be a bit faster.

Thank you for trying it out and for your feedback!

I love roguelikes, this is the first one I found in the jam so far.  I played a few levels and liked the artwork, especially the little elevator scene is a nice touch.

I did find that the bullets were slow, maybe I missed the upgrade to speed them up.

viva la 'zeros'!

Thank you for your comment!

There were upgrades to speed them up, but maybe I should speed up all of them as this was a comment I heard from a few lol.

I like the top-down shooter gamepley and the art is very good. Some areas could use some more polish, like UI and the fact that enemies know where you are even through walls. I think the movement and bullets could be faster too, as it felt a little too slow for me.
Pretty good overall

Developer

I played your game and the game feels amazing. Everything is polished and the gameplay is perfect. Can I ask for some tips? How did you create the sprites and gameplay loop so well in such a short time?

Submitted

Don't give me too much credit for the game loop haha, if you managed to make your game in a week then you can absolutely make a game about shooting some targets.
My last jam project was very cheap in artstyle and heavy in code, so I wanted to go the opposite way this time. It was all drawn in Aseprite, and it's definitely something you can make too. Mostly posters so simple shapes, stylized text etc.
The most important thing is to set a scope you know you can handle. A game can be very small and simple, but as long as it's fun and polished that's what matters.

Developer

I think you should give yourself some more credit for the game loop lol. As simple as it was, it's very effective and fun. Maybe simple is the way to go.

Anyway, thanks for the tips!

Fun game, very silly interpretation of the theme, I love it

I enjoyed this game. Those darn 1's really can't be trusted. Feels like a very authentic game that was made with lots of love. <3
