You literally have to trust and jump below. Nothing bad happens :D Overall game rule - try to follow signs and do what they say or do the opposite. They whether lie or not. Worst case you respawn at the checkpoint. Else you will solve the puzzle and proceed. Hope it helps. Good luck!
