i think you are totally right. it's a beat thing.
with that in mind i was now even able to complete the tutorial and do a couple perfect moves while actually playing.
that being said, the window to time the movements right is either too narrow, or there's some kind of desync issue happening, cause even knowing how the game works it's still way too difficult to get your moves right.
you could try increasing the margin, like you said, also maybe take into account that i'm using cheap earphones that maybe have a bit of a latency issue?
oh, in case you are using godot, and i think you are, i've had issues with godot web builds' audio in the past. last time i had to go and manually change my AudioStreamPlayer node "Playback Type" parameter to "Stream" manually, to fix some weird sync issue that was happening with a game of mine. maybe try tinkering with that, and with the file format of the audio file of your music, i'd recommend maybe using .wav
you could also try creating a desktop build
