How does the game fit the theme?
In Accomplice, the player is asked to help a prisoner who claims to be innocent. Throughout the game, the player must trust the prisoner's words and assist him in escaping. However, the final reveal shows that the prisoner is not who he claimed to be, forcing the player to question every decision they made. The entire experience is built around the theme "Trust No One", where trust becomes the central mechanic and the player's judgment determines the ending.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Sketchfab - used for model
Pixabay - used for audio and sound effects
and also assets from unity asset store.

Good concept, but i think the theme is kind of only present at the end, but overall good work!

Developer

There was a alot of things I had planned on but unfortunately I was short on time for the game jam.

But I am very glad that you liked the concept!

Thankyou for your rating and taking time to try out my game. I really appreciate it!

The idea is great. Love the camera perspective. Wish it was browser available. The code...... the code...... After the code part the little prisoner dude walked into a wall forever! Otherwise I love the idea!

Thank you for playing Accomplice!

I'm glad you liked the idea and the camera perspective. ๐Ÿ˜€

And yes... the code... ๐Ÿ˜… That's a bug on my end. It seems a few players have managed to find ways to confuse the poor prisoner and make him walk into walls forever. I'll definitely be looking into fixing that after the jam.

I also wish I had time to make a browser version, but I had to stick with a downloadable build to get the game submitted in time.

Thanks again for the feedback and for giving the game a try!

Cool concept, its a bit simple, but i like where its going!

Developer

Thank you for playing Accomplice!

I'm glad you liked the concept. I kept the scope fairly small so I could finish the game within the jam timeframe, but I'd love to expand on the idea with more mechanics in the future.

Thanks for the feedback and for giving the game a try! ๐Ÿ˜€

Thanks! I wanted to make a browser version too, but I ran out of time during the jam and had to stick with a downloadable build.

I appreciate you checking out the game! ๐Ÿ˜€

A straightforward game. I like the concept of bailing your partner out through a camera-like POV. Lots of potential for different gameplay mechanics.

Developer

Thankyou!! I'm glad you liked the concept and the camera-style perspective. I also felt there was a lot of potential for additional mechanics, but I had to keep the scope small to finish the game within the jam timeframe.

I appreciate you took time to check the game out.

Cool game. Short but well polished!

I did notice one bug, where the prisoner gets stuck if you press the input before he finishes walking. But this can be avoided by waiting

Well done :)

Developer

Thanks for playing and for the feedback!

Good catch on that bug. It happens when the input is triggered before the prisoner reaches the interaction point. I did start the development late and this was the second ever game I made.

I'm glad you enjoyed the game and found it polished. Thanks again for taking the time to try Accomplice and leave a comment!

Simple directing the prisoner out, not bad i like the idea. 6767

if you click start or E to quick before he stops, you are locked he doesnt move after that.

Developer

Good work finishing the game I admire that you were a single person doing it -believe me this is hard, I will say what I feel after playing the game, it feels like I am being told what to do at the time I need to do it, making the player just watching as things gets solved with a button click, and I am not saying the game idea is bad, it just needs some adjustments, music give you the feeling of the tense atmosphere. Overall Amazing Job.

Thank you for playing Accomplice and for the detailed feedback!

I completely understand what you mean. My goal was to make the game simple and easy to finish within the jam timeframe, but I agree that giving the player more freedom to figure things out on their own would make the experience more engaging.

I'm glad the atmosphere and music helped create the tension I was aiming for. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts, and I'm happy you enjoyed the game overall!
