This was pretty simple but fun!! I really like how punny the game is! It feels very meta! I love the art for this game as well, kinda reminds me of those old school games I used to play on the school computers during high school! The sounds were also so charming and implemented very well! I do wish there were more depth in the mechanics though (like power ups, etc) but I completely understand the time constraint in a game jam setting! Overall, great work on the game!!

It's so nice to hear about all the things you liked about the game, I appreciate that.
I wanted to add more complexity to the game too, but since this was my first time doing most of the programming I ended up running out of time fairly quickly. There are some things that weren't there until the very end that I'm proud of myself for being able to implement, like the invincibility at revival.
That's fair! Congrats on your first game that you programmed! I think you did a fairly good job at it! You got the systems working overall!

I am very inexperienced at sound making so it's very nice to hear my attempt to make sounds for my game worked out.
Fun little game. I was going so well but then hit one of the ones by accident and then they kept getting past.
Love the little “plfh” noise when you die.
