How does the game fit the theme?
Every round, all players see the same cards and pick at the same time. The high-value cards are tempting, but if a rival(s) grabs the same one, the points get split. You have to guess what everyone else is going to do, so you question whether or not do you trust them to pick something else, or are they just as greedy as you?

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
The applause is a stock sound effect, but everything else was made by the team.

I like the characters, they're really cute!

The game is kind of simple to beat, it would be nice if you added some complexity to it. Maybe if multiple people pick a card, nobody gets points, it just gets put back on the table. It could be a fun dynamic.

Thank you so much!

That's an interesting idea, would definitely make for funny moments if players repeatedly pick those same cards!

Fun game, but it's really really really simple. Like UNBELIEVABLY SIMPLE. I beat the game three times in a row ( first try ), and I wasn't trying to win the first time. Other than that, I liked the art and GUI.

Developer

Oops! We're glad you enjoyed it nonetheless - we might get chance to ramp up the difficulty after the jam!

I really enjoyed the perspective of the game and the characters. It was a lot of fun! My luck was so weird though — all three times I played, I somehow ended up with the exact same score as everyone else 😂. Overall, great job! I’m looking forward to the updates after the jam!

Thank you so much! We've got some great ideas from everyone that we're excited to try!

Super easy to understand and jump into immediately. Good execution. Not super tightly fit to the jam theme.

The most interesting aspect of rock-paper-scissors like guessing systems is trying to understand and outthink a human opponent. So with bots, they need to have some sort of human tendencies to make this more than just a random guessing game. If they do have tendencies and habits, it's hard to associate playing patterns with the other players because it's not easy to tell who picked what card.

Overall, really solid entry and one of the easiest games to jump right into.
