Loved this game, amazing job creating tension with just audio queues, dialogue options and an incredibly infuriatingzipper mechanic. Congrats!

A very cool approach to the topic. I really like the character design and the way the tension is built. As someone who doesn't play horror games much, I really felt this distrust of anyone in my bones. Maybe it would be nicer if I had a little more time to close the tent, literally a split second would give me a little more time to look at this character and even think about the fact that I have to close this tent. Overall, a very great idea and I also like the deeper backstory. Good job! ♥

Thanks for playing and for the kind words!

Yes, I agree, the jumpscares are too punishing.

I didn't have much time to test this, as I've fully implemented them in the last night of the jam and by then, my irl friends which were my testers were all asleep, haha. I need to get some international testers to prevent things like this :)

Submitted(+1)

Oh, I feel that. My tester friend literally told me 15 minutes before the deadline that winning wasn't working, it was a speedrun...

Super fun, creative and suspenseful. It's got so much potential! Trying to zip up the tent in time as soon as you figure out that they're fake is quite engaging. I thought it was a little too difficult to zip it up in time, because the zipper kept getting stuck multiple times.

Developer

Thanks for playing!

Yes, the zipper needs balancing!

I love the stuck zipper mechanic, it feels so real! The concept is cool, but in my opinion, it lacks feedback on certain event I feel like I'm taking random damage sometime.

Great job!

Developer

Thanks for playing!

I agree, there is a lot of polish that can go into the game. I hope with time I will get better at it :)

10/10 game ! The mechanic is so creative !! WELL DONE IN SUCH A SHORT TIME BRO ! small game but soo good, beware some people are spirits !

Developer

Thanks a lot! The kind words mean a lot! :)

Cool game! I struggled with the zipper at first but once I learnt how to do it I managed fine. Got 2 jumpscares but made it to the end! Really interesting concept!

When the zipper got stuck while a spirit was coming, I felt it was almost impossible to survive without getting hit, which is a bit unfair...

But overall, the fear mechanic and having to figure out if people are real or not are well implemented. Good job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing!

Yes, I decided to make the zipper a little too punishing. The way I had it before, you would always avoid the jumpscare. For sure there is a sweet point. Thanks for the feedback!

Interesting Idea and mechanic with tent zip.  Im not sure what happen when I do not open the tent - it seems that Im always safe ?

Developer

Thanks for playing!

When you don't open the tent, your fear is supposed to go up and eventually, this will damage you.

Unless this is bugged (I hope not), this should be an incentive to open the tent to strangers.

My idea was to force the players to face their fears.

I have played games like this. It's really nice, but the zipper literally made it impossible :P I couldn't even get through more than 1-2min in the game!

Developer

Thanks for playing!

I'm sorry the zipper made it impossible! For sure it would need some work to make it more enjoyable.

Really fun game! The zipper getting stuck is peak horror logic! I just wish that there were more people and monsters!

Developer

Thanks for playing!

I'm glad you've enjoyed it. I couldn't really make it anymore complex as I developed this solo and I'm also fairly unexperienced. Most of the things I've done for this were a first for me.

nice little game with a fun tactile idea. the zipper being annoying is kinda the whole charm, and once you get used to it the simple loop feels good. the stuck mechanic works, though it could use clearer feedback since at first it feels like an input bug. the atmosphere is solid and the small jumpscare hits well. overall a cute and fun entry built around one goofy interaction. (pls play my game)

Developer

Thanks for playing!

Yea, the zipper I had to get it to be obvious to be intentional. A lot of people complained about this, but as long as this is playable, it's fine.

Thanks for the kind words. Yea I will try your game, I had a little look, it seems similar to mine in the core idea.

the zipper is really annoying, but i guess it's part of the immersion haha. But really, i like the simple gameplay revolving the goddamn zipper! Its cute and fun!

Developer

Thanks for playing!

Yea, if I were to expand on this game I would simplify the zipper a lot because it seems annoying/confusing to people, but as it is the centre piece of the game, I will just probably do another game lol

Submitted(+1)

Fun little game! I liked how the zipper got stuck. It might make sense to have some feedback when that happens though at first i thought it was an input bug! great job!

Developer

Thanks for playing!

I'm glad you had fun despite how the zipper works.

It actually has some feedback, it should shake and play a sound (a gun cocking sound actually lol). Maybe it got glitched or maybe this isn't obvious enough.

But I also got this feedback from testing before release, that the stuck mechanic can be confusing. Maybe I could make it work better, but I think it's not worth confusing the player over this.

Great idea and really fits the theme. I really like the tactility of the zipper and it sometimes jamming when you need to act fast. The dialogue sometimes feel a bit random though.

Developer

Thanks for playing!

Yes, the dialogue can be lackluster, I wish I had more time to do something more complex, with storylines, consequences and more sense overall.

the first jumpscare really got me.

This game is held so simple and yet is really fun, I'm a big fan actually.

Developer

Thanks for playing!

I'm really grateful for the kind words :)

I love the tactile interaction and the hilarity of saying goodbye to a child that just told you they were scared and alone. I had fun!

Developer

Thanks for playing!

Yea, some of the interactions can feel a little ridiculous or random, I wish I had enough time to do something more complex, where the discussions had some meaning or consequence.

Submitted(+1)

Love the atmosphere the game creates and the design that zip gets stuck by chance.

Developer

Thanks for playing!

I'm glad I made the atmosphere good enough, it's the first time I try something like this.

hahah as someone who goes camping a fair amount this is terrifying xD Really cool concept!

Developer

Thanks for playing!

It was inspired by an experience I had recently while camping, when a drunk man came and talked with a friend outside my tent for like 30 minutes, without giving any signs that he wanted to leave.
