R4R should definitely not be a thing, but unfortunately, it was one of the few ways your game could get the attention it deserves. My game during the GMTK game jam only had like a total of 7 ratings over the span of the rating period. But in this game jam, after participating in a few rate-for-rates, I got 16 ratings in just 1 day. It is just an unfortunate byproduct of the vast games people had made for a jam and the low chance of getting your game in the view random game submission thingy.
Speaking of attention it deserves, your game was not slop, it was fun.
