Hello, I have this short game I want to share: /jam/brackeys-16/rate/4946748
In terms of rage, I felt a lot of it. Of course a freaking door falls on me out of nowhere. It certainly lives up to the name there. The unpredictability of the dangers is great, in no way would I have thought a column that falls would shoot freaking arrows at me. The music felt knight-y and on-brand with the game (and given its repetitiveness, would add more to the frustrations, which is great). The cartoonish art is pretty good and is detailed. And I would say using a cartoonish artstyle would certainly amplify the rage because it's presenting the game as innocent, like it's passively saying that it's not evil, but then would absolutely bomb the player from a innocuous barrel. Overall, really great work for 7 days.

Aw man I feel for you. I too had an experience where my vision of the game just could meet my abilities in game design nor the jam deadline. But there are always other jams, and always other platforms to submit your game, so take your time in making your dream game!!
My current jam submission is actually a prototype for anotehr game jam that I built on top of with all the ideas that I scrapped before because of the deadline, so it's a reminder for me that it may just take more time than expected, and that's okay: /jam/brackeys-16/rate/4946748
Thanks for your feedback. The player rotation is a bug, and I don't know how to fix it. For the walls, I wanted them be prototypes, as the colors of them are what matters. And the player mesh...I didn't really have time to find a good texture and fit with the color scheme I was going for. Enemies path finding is also another bug, Sound effects are selected actually from the very start. Again, thank you for your feedback!!
the inconsistent artstyle is freaking hilarious. It adds much character to the game I love it.
Check out my game: /jam/brackeys-16/rate/4946748
Yeah I was confused too with my game for a while (/jam/brackeys-16/rate/4946748). I think it's maybe the mods checking for AI images? idk
alright the sass in the respawn screen is really getting to me I quit lmao. Magnificent and beautiful game art and design. Ngl, reminds of temple runner for some reason.
I'd love for you to try out my game; it's pale compared to yours but...: /jam/brackeys-16/rate/4946748
YAY I got the confession!
Anyway, I think you have officially mastered the dark alley setting. From the rain to the darkness ahead. Low poly really does work well here.
I'd like to share my game too: /jam/brackeys-16/rate/4946748
I don't know why, but the beginning intro reminds so much of childrens' book drawings and I freaking love it. It just gives off exactly the type of vibe of cute animals.
There is a bug? I think where I aim with my crosshair (which has an awesome design btw), but my arrows? don't go where it's supposed to go. I don't know if it's just my eyes deceiving me or what.
Anyway, I love your game.
My game if you wanna see what I made: /jam/brackeys-16/rate/4946748
