This was such a fun one. There were definitely some creatures I did not know how to get past without being damaged. I was a bit confused by the ending but the animation was very well done.
Thanks for your opinion! When it comes to the ending it is the last remnant of the original too daring idea for a game, where you couldn’t trust your senses neither coordination nor sight and where things wouldn’t be what they look like. Well, if you were confused by the ending you shouldn’t have trusted your eyes. ;-) I am, glad though, that you liked the animation, it took me a while to make it.
PRO TIP: Banging your head against ( meaning walking into ) a wall can help you in some puzzles.
A very interesting idea for a game! I like the concept a lot, starting over at the beginning is quite punishing though. I think it could be pretty fun with a little more refinement. Good game!
Fun game.
That was fun! Got a game over early first try because I kept moving into the bat, but realizing that I could wait by walking into a wall was neat. Fun time, great job!
Love the idea! It's super confusing, but really fun - you need to watch your step :)
Interesting idea with switching controls.
I had problems understanding the controls cause I don't think the arrows where correct with my controls I don't know if I understood wrong. Overall it's a nice game with a very interesting concept.
Thanks for feedback! I improved the description of the game to be more of a help when it comes to movement.
really cool idea. the control switching is fun and confusing in a good way, like trying to ride a bike with the steering flipped. once you get used to watching your keys it becomes a nice little challenge. the concept is strong and the presentation is clean. sometimes the controls stop responding when clicking fast, but aside from that it works well. goodjob on this one. (pls play my game)
Great core idea for a game!
I was hoping eventually you would introduce something that makes you try to go faster, like a leaderboard or a monster that chases you at its own speed. With or without a chasing monster I fumbled a lot of times! Good work! The fake out at the end was very funny too!
Thanks! I heard the suggestion of adding a leaderboard before, but I decided not to include it, at least for now, as this game is pretty random, which would make competing for best time highly luck-dependent. When it comes to the monster idea I think it is really great! Unfortunatelly, I had little time during the jam, but I hope to expand the game further in future. I would like to add such enemy then, maybe as a new enemy type or a boss fight.
lol pretty cursed. it's like learning to ride a bike with the handlebars reversed. harder than it sounds!
Game was pretty decent! I liked the whole controls switching thing, that was pretty neat. Took me a moment to figure it out, but it was cool having to watch my keys and make sure I was pressing the right ones, lmao
I love how since the controls keep swapping you cant cheese it by flipping the screen!
Love the concept! Switching the line of sight between controls and the character is quite difficult but fun!
Great Idea, controls sometimes decides to stop working when clicking faster
Cool concept :D
