I love this so much, Kelly! LOL This is my first playthrough of a Hijinx and Hints game. I'm familiar with them, but I've just never gotten around to playing one. This was wonderful and hilarious. You made such great choices for the complications and hijinx prompts. I loved the concept too. It felt so original and unique to be basically conducting a seance to recreate recipes for loved ones. Everything just felt like it worked together so well lol
I want to try to describe the ridiculousness and chaos of my client's aunt. I hope that's ok to share xD It went sideways so fast the first turn ROFL
First Auntie Beatrice didn't like my tone, and then she was certain I was incompetent and just immediately went for possession because she was going to make the recipe herself. It devolved into petty fighting and squabbling. We messed the kitchen all up, and I couldn't find anything. And the client was just standing there watching it all not sure if this was normal. (I was literally laughing out loud at my prompts.)
But it somehow went downhill from there. I got one clue despite the niece continuously interrupting me to talk to her aunt about the aunt's now-geriatric show dogs she inherited from her. Then Aunt Beatrice refused to communicate with me unless Nutmeg was present--Nutmeg being one of her precious but now extremely elderly shih tzus.
An attempted walk-in client showed up at my door just as I was trying to summon Nutmeg.
Auntie Beatrice was getting irritated and threatened to leave if I didn't get her Nutmeg, so I roped this stranger into pretending to be the dog while my client rushed off to get Nutmeg and the rest of the 'Spice Girls' from the groomer down the street. My client really wanted this recipe.
Suddenly there were dogs everywhere. Nutmeg kept going after my shoes and getting in the way. I needed a snack break LOL
I can't believe I was ultimately successful, and it all came together. I had a lot of fun with it!
