I am new to programming and this issue only happens to some people so I have no idea how to resolve it or test that it was fixed at the moment.

If you're having issues with the size please download the Windows Zip instead, that one works fine.

This was pretty simple but fun!! I really like how punny the game is! It feels very meta! I love the art for this game as well, kinda reminds me of those old school games I used to play on the school computers during high school! The sounds were also so charming and implemented very well! I do wish there were more depth in the mechanics though (like power ups, etc) but I completely understand the time constraint in a game jam setting! Overall, great work on the game!!

It's so nice to hear about all the things you liked about the game, I appreciate that.

I wanted to add more complexity to the game too, but since this was my first time doing most of the programming I ended up running out of time fairly quickly. There are some things that weren't there until the very end that I'm proud of myself for being able to implement, like the invincibility at revival.
