according to my research Brave might not support webgpu on some linux systems which could be the problem (you might be able to enable it experimentally). I experienced a similar issue with Firefox on Arch Linux (which only has experimental webgpu support on nightly)

I tried it again on windows with chrome and this time it worked fine. It was a fun experience and it hits close to home to never be able trust some colleagues at work :D. Maybe add a highscore system and multiple shifts to the game. Anyway this felt pretty original when it comes to the them of the jam. great work.
