As you are new, here are some tips for a good game jam.

I shall ignore things about the game. You are new; just going to have to learn to make the game. It will take time. Wish you all the best in that.

Add some info on the Itch page:

  • Title
  • Small backstory (one paragraph is enough) or one-line description of the game
  • Instructions, how to play, including keys
  • (Optional) Devlog, what made the game with, what the idea was, and maybe how you think it went
  • Credits, particularly if your assets are not yours

Engage with others in the jam, leave reviews (my general rule: always try to leave something positive). In large jams, in the community section, others will happily rate each other's games and will post to get others to look at theirs (you can also do the same).
