This is such an interesting concept! The interactive ui part of going through the cards is satisfying.  At first, it was a bit confusing, but after understanding the game better, I had a fun time playing with all the different interactions and endings. I do wonder if there is an ending for the royals, since I was a bit confused about those cards.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the review man really appreciate it! Glad the game started clicking after a bit lol. The royals dont have their own ending right now 😅

Royal spoiler

The only ending where a royal is part of you is 2 in the front. They are more like hazards you have to deal with during the run.

I definitely need to explain those cards better tho 😅

I tried it again, and indeed I unlocked the fourth ending. Thank you!  I really like that it is also an obstacle you unlock (depending ofc wich ending you want). Again, nice job!

The visuals are very good, well done! However I didn't really understand the game even after spending a decent amount of time in it.  In the description you mentioned endigs so at what point does the game really end? I'm just not even sure if I got endings or some mid run failures. Overall nice job on visuals, sound and animations!

Developer

Thanks for the review man I really appreciate you taking the time. I definitely need to make the endings and failed runs a lot clearer. ssuper glad you liked the visuals, sound, and animations! PROUD 🥲lol

Nice one, but it was kinda laggy, I have like 15 fps XD, but maybe the problem is on my side. But litle optimalization and quide would help a lot.

Developer

Thank you so, so much! I started testing the game, and while porting it to the web I accidentally introduced a bug that forces everything to always run at 1920x1080. Unfortunately, I can’t change that silly piece of code until the jam is over.

Sorry about that, and super, super thank you.I’m also going to check out and rate your game!

I liked the game’s visuals and the concept, but it wasn’t easy to figure out.

Developer

Appreciate.  check out your game too. I definitely overcomplicated mine a bit for a jam lol.

I love how the card interactions make you question what you can actually trust. Also, loved the text effects at the beginning! The interactive UI is also really fun and makes the game feel more engaging.

Developer

Yeah, the UI is probably the part I’m most proud of in the game. ThanksReally appreciate you taking the time to play and the  feedback .I’ll definitely give your game a try too.

I always new that cards are against me!
That's why I'm always losing in casinos?

Developer

Good idea but gameplay could help a little more explanations, good job for your first game :)

Developer

Thanks for the feedback.Really appreciate it.I think I probably made mine a little more complicated than it needed to be for a jam. 😅check out your game too

Great game, and such a unique idea! Ran super smoothly and looks clean. Really great concept of just getting the ending while figuring out the game.

Developer

You made my day man I really liked the Minesweeper style in yours too. Thanks for the rate

Congrats on submitting your first game jam game! One piece of advice for your future games it to optimize them better because right now this game barely runs on my laptop. Great job on your first game! I wish you luck with your future ones!

Developer

Thanks, man! You made my day. It’s my first time coding in LÖVE2D, so it was kinda tough, lol.
