How does the game fit the theme?
Two AI bots both claim the other is lying and trying to end humanity. Since you can't trust either, you have to uncover it for yourself.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Music and sfx are from a licensed asset pack by Joel Steudtler.

An incredible masterpiece from this jam! This is one of my favorite entries so far! I LOOOOOVEEEEE the text-based storytelling! You did an incredible job here! Congratulations! :)

Edit: I turned off the right process and saved humanity (sort of, I lost 3B people)!

Super cool game. Love the theme of figuring out which bot to kill, and the whole presentation is a perfect fit for it. The mini game is very enjoyable and it's fun reading through the messages. 

A tutorial for the mini game would be great, as it wasn't immediately obvious what to do. Later on it becomes positively impossible to finish the tasks, and I just ended up having to guess which process to kill. I couldn't figure out if there were any clues apart from the id numbers (which seem to be randomly generated, so I guess players can also sometimes get unlucky). The first couple of minutes were absolutely fantastic however!

Thanks for playing! Yes, the PIDs are random, but there's an enforced sequence to it where you will always get ambiguous numbers at the beginning but a definitive clue towards the end. Your chances of getting a new fragment are also based on how well you do in the game. It could definitely use more tutorial stuff, I just ran out of time.

Loved the visuals and the audio matched the visual and gameplay quite nicely. I wasn't able to finish the game as I was stuck around 70% but my only critique would be it was a little too hard at that point (or maybe i'm just bad :p). Unfortunately wasn't able to find the twist but hopefully someone will spoil it for me :D.

Thanks for playing it! I should have made this more clear I think, but you don't need to get to 100% in order to win, the percentage just affects your final score. As long as you have figured out which one is the hostile process, you can complete the game any time you want.

Cool game and really well built. the interface felt intuitive. I think there could have been a bit more in the way of a tutorial but I really liked it.

Thanks, that's a good point. I tried to make the instructions clear in the messages from the bots, but I think it was a bit too much text to ingest.

very interesting game,  I dont know how to win but like terminal and hacker feeling

Thanks, yeah I probably spent way too much time on the retro UI elements and not enough time on smoothing out the gameplay loop or telling the player what to do haha. You can win by playing well in the mini-game to unlock the process ID of the rogue AI so you can kill the process.
