I did not expect to see this type of game but I really liked the concept. I like playing games that let me decide what I wanna do. Great game!

Really charming atmosphere! 😄✨ The writing and old-school text adventure vibe work sooo well. I’d maybe add a few more visuals while exploring, but really cool concept! 👀

I know you wrote you wish you could have drawn art yourself for the jam, but I did found selection of pieces chosen still charming. Overall, I do like if almost prefer narrative/reading games, so this was quite a hoot for myself. I think it was interesting enough to discover the wizard's reasons to leave and as well deducing such. Gameplay wise, there isn't more than selecting dialogue, but it reminded me of old adventure games and I really love those. A great effort for making a game, especially as a solo venture, so congratulations!

Wow! I never thought I'd see a text adventure game in this jam! The writing is really good. There are a lot of story games submitted, but not many of them are as fleshed out or well-written as this one. Good job!

I may not be a reading guy but I love atmosphere in this game.
Maybe a comeback of textbased rpg. Nice job!

Love the story! great narrative! Personally not a fan of the music choice, but that's more taste than critique.

The text never felt overwhelming and hooked me right from the start.

Honestly, no critiques from me. Great job!

Interesting gameplay style, and it feels really classic too. The writing doesn't feel overwhelming either. Good job on the design, very innovative game!

I really loved the atmosphere of this game!! The writing felt very gentle and warm, and there was never too much text at once. The illustrations also appeared at just the right moments and added a lot to the experience!

My only small suggestion would be to include a few more images while exploring, maybe something like the layout of each room, just to make it a little easier to understand where you are and what you're looking at. With mostly text, I sometimes forgot which room had which things in it XD

Really lovely game!! I enjoyed it a lot!

I used to play text games as a kid, so this really took me back, and I loved it. All the texts are beautifully written, the music is nice, and I loved the inclusion of the artwork. I would flip the colors of the text options so they’re blue if unexplored and then get greyed out once they’ve been explored, as that seems more intuitive to me. But other than that, amazing work!

I love that you used original artwork and that you didn't use any AI to write your story! It's very well-written.

It was a good text-RPG, with good writing and a cool investigation system. I didn't really feel like I needed to mistrust everyone and got to the end without any difficulty, or so I think. Would be nice to see a longer game!
