How does the game fit the theme?
The game has a built in mechanic that turns the people you were meant to 'aid' into formidable foes. There isn't a tell you can count on, which may lead to your demise if you arent quick. On the that battlefield, who, really, can you trust ?

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
Majority of the assets used were from a few different websites that provide free licenses to use. All game coding and logic as well as implementation was done by our team.

How many people worked on the game?

Nice pixel art! But it is too hard for me. I lost and lost again. Wish it is not that hard at the beginning. Nice submission by the way! Good job!

Oh wait... I was meant to DEFEND THOSE LITTLE GIRLS???????

umm, my bad, I thought they all will turn into an enemy... Uhh, I definitely didn’t shoot them as soon as I saw them, yeahh

Pretty funny game. Despite having only 2 types of enemies, it was pretty interesting. And after I learned, on my 3rd attempt, that I can RUN, it was even funnier

Would love it if there was a bit more enemies to make the difficulty curve higher as the points grow. Other than that love the animation.

Sweet game, would have loved to see a little more mechanics (maybe like a dash or dodge or other healing spots) but definitely had a good time! Also enemies that shoot stuff maybe? A little bit more bullet hell? Thanks for submitting this!

I will saying shooting was satisfying, and art style was very polished. I would add a small tutorial, like i didn't know i could run until my 3 try.  There is plenty of room to make this game grow, like enemy/weapons variations, diferents sets, etc. Nice game!!!

Thank you so much! That was the initial plan, but we ended having some issues early on that cut our game jam time in half. Still though, glad you enjoyed and thank you for the feedback.

Nice shooter game in the style of vampire survivors . Wasn't quite sure how it fits in the with Jam's theme though

Developer

Hey there! Thanks for checking out the game and glad you enjoyed it. In terms of the theme of the jam, it was built around the characters that can turn into enemies at any moment.

Could you try out my game and leave some feedback?

I love good old vampire survivors! The character and bird is pretty nice in my opinion. However, I don't see how  the game is matching the Jam's theme. Still it was fun and the gameplay was smooth!

Thanks for checking out the game! Glad you enjoyed it! Regarding the theme of the Jam, we implemented a system in which some of the characters you are meant "protect" may turn hostile.
