I think you captured that classic rpg style really well here! I really really liked liked Arm Yourselves, such a catchy and active track. I think having some percussion would've made it an even better track than it already is. You did a great job with this ost, congrats!

The tracks felt a little bit chaotic, especially Lurking Wonder and Onwards We Go. I would say it was due to the many different melodies on instruments that take a lot of place (horns, trumpets...). Moreover, I would have used some drums on Arm Yourselves, like a sound similar to a military snare to give the track a bit more impact, and rhythm. Nonetheless, it was a great ost. My favorite track was The Cold Truth. I really liked the instruments you chose, they sounded very icey. Great job !

Thanks for the retro entry! I am guessing you composed in these loop patterns similar to the styles of 16 bit hardware due to limited hard drives space? I think that can be a cool idea and creative constraint to explore. I think you find a nice balance in tone between contrasting sections in songs. I listened on your submissions on soundclould and tracks 3, 4, and 5 sounded like they had a really good balance on instrumentation that lead to the tracks having a nice mix. Tracks 1 and 2 got a bit washy for me. I am on sure if the system you are using allows for a bigger range in registers of your instrument without compromising their timbres too much, but it would have been nice for a bit of variety between tracks to explore that. Thanks for sharing!

Making a full submission only with midi is quite challenging, you did good imo ! The theme are fun, sometimes a little dissonnant but never to the point of getting me out of the track. The sounds are so nostalgic.

I can't really comment on your mix or soundesign, because of the nature of your project I don't think there is much of either, but it never sounded like a big issue ? I think you managed to overcome the limitation of Musescore decently.

Solid, keep the good work !

great work ! reminds me a lot of xenoblade chronicles and overall it transports me in a jrpg environment.

loved the 2nd track a lot due to all the movement in the various instruments

overall there were times where I felt the mixing could do some work and I would like perhaps a bit more percussion to really bring out the life in the tunes

Quite a lovely album, reminds me a lot of old Final Fantasy games. At times a bit dissonant in a way I'm not sure was entirely intended, but overall a decent piece of work!
