just a heads up to any future fans, the game "lovecraft locker: tentacle office" features tentacle (presumably male since tentacles tend to be more or less a mass of penises) on male or possibly Shemale content with no toggle to disable in the menu's while not outright stated to be a heterosexual/ straight game the preview images on the right are all of females being penetrated, thus leading to a misinterpretation of strickly male x female interactions

Otherwise im a fan of your works, and thank you for allowing progress of your other game "lovecraft locker 2: tentacle breach" to transfer between itch.io and steam

Just a heads up for any future comments you might leave "shemale" isn't really an appropriate term and most people would deem it derogatory or degrading. It might be more appropriate to say "futa" or "trans" depending on the context, but you can always just play it safe and say "some of these characters have penises and there is no toggle to turn off the penises".

Also, you do not need to assign a gender to the tentacles. It is literally alien goop from another planet, why would you expect it to conform to our understanding of gender? If your enjoyment of sexual material relies on something that is strictly male penetrating something that is strictly female, you should maybe consider reflecting inward and considering why that might be the case.

brochachito really got mad over someone just stating their opinion on their game and tried to bring up trans people into this, atp just put the fries in the bag and stop getting mad over people's opinions

I am not the dev for this game, and I actually agree that there should be a penis toggle for people who would prefer not to encounter penises. As far as I'm concerned, that's basically just an accessibility option. I just wasn't sure if they knew they were using outdated, offensive language so I offered a gentle correction.

What do you think comment sections are for if not sharing opinions and discussing those opinions?

Howdy, the purposes of labeling the tentacles as male is more to establish what kinds of males would be into the genre, as I'd wager a higher % of people that are into tentacle stuff are in the broad spectrum of "straight" or heterosexual (yes I'm aware that futa TECHNICALLY falls under hetero as "females with penises" isn't something that would naturally happen and thus isn't something that would trigger the same phisio logical response that seeing a male in that situation would for a sizable chunk of males, though of course I fall outside of that and am actively disgusted by females with male genitalia regardless of term used

Also as far as the strictly male vs strictly female thing is concerned, many people seem to prefer Yuri/yaoi specifically because they do not enjoy seeing other members of there reproductive role in sexual acts.

Edit 2- when I say disgusted I don't mean in a ban it everywhere sense but the same disgust that one has seeing 2 men kiss in public I wish I had links to the studies but regardless of voting patterns/ associates of that nature most people display some level of disgust to that, outside of homosexual males themselves, even if they suppress or don't act on said disgust

I don't know how to politely tell you that trying to sound smart while being actively homophobic only makes you sound dumber.
Especially in the comment section of a porn game, of all places. You're surrounded by people who are open-minded enough to enjoy tentacle porn and you think you're gonna find people that are disgusted by men kissing?

Sorry, but I'm far more disgusted by your outdated worldview than I am by the thought of two consenting adults doing whatever they want with each other.

I can understand where you are coming from but I only meant disgust in the base psychological sense, as civilized beings we are better then our raw biology and don't have to act on our low level responses, and yes I stand by the notion that people are disgusted by male on male sexual action (outside of homosexual males and BL loving females of course) as even if one has homosexual male friends they will more often then not still have SOME visible disgust (like upturned lips) on seeing public displays of affection but again as evolved beings we are better then our base feelings and don't need to act on them.

I primarily wish to bridge the gap between the mostly hetero appearing side pictures and previous entries to the bi/pansexual (I think?) nature of this one which could lead many from thinking "I like everything this author makes" to " I like some of what this author makes"

Edit: it also occured to me that changing the preview pictures to reflect the full spectrum of sexual targets available instead of just one type would also fix this issue

You're justifying your bias against homosexual men by blaming human psychology.
Your experience is not universal.

I'm not virtue-signaling when I say that I've never had any type of physical or psychological response to a homosexual couple. I was raised in the Deep South of the U.S. and many members of my family are anti-LGBT, but that's a cultural stance, not a natural stance.

I suggest looking into actual scientific studies and getting a broader range of data points.

I seem to have come off harder then anticipated, I used the term disgust as the umbrella term, perhaps I should have looked for a more narrowed down term such as how angered, enraged, annoyed, and mad are all under the aggression umbrella yet indicate different levels of said overarching response network, and while my disgust is on the lower end, roughly 1/10 disgust is still the technically correct term for how how I feel upon seeing females with penises

Thats less accessibility since it doesnt help you actually play like sound assist or such. Thats more a prefefence option

(1 edit) (+1)(-1)

Part of the function of playing a pornographic game is presumably arousal, right? So wouldn't any options that deal with sexual preferences also increase the accessibility of the game?

Thats like asking a FMG femdom game to not have muscular women since some may not like FMG or wanting a cozy game to be an action packed fps. Personal likes & dislikes is not accessibility. Things like languages, colour blind assist, QTE vs Button holding, sound cues. THOSE are accessibility.

You seem to have quite a narrow and specific definition for the term "accessibility.

Here's the closest comparison that comes to mind: would you consider an arachnophobia toggle to be an accessibility option? Because I would say that falls into the same category of "changing visuals within the game to make some players more comfortable".

I think a colorblind filter, subtitle toggle, and gender/pronoun options could all appear in an accessibility menu and it would be completely reasonable. Why would a penis toggle be out of place?

Do you go to an Italian restaurant and complain they dont have Korean food and say "well, what if someone WANTS it??" No, you go to a Korean restaurant to get Korean food

Its the exact same thing here. You dont go to a horror movie & demand it be kid friendly nor do you go to a karaoke bar & ask for a stand up routine. I mean you CAN but youre not gonna get a pleasant response. At all

Firstly, I didn't demand anything. I said it's perfectly reasonable for someone to request such a feature in this game.

If I went to an Italian restaurant and told them I have a fish allergy I'd expect them to offer a dish without fish. I'd call that a fair comparison to Color-Blind mode.

If I went to an Italian restaurant and told them I'd prefer not to have tomatoes in my dish, I'd compare that to the type of toggle that was discussed in this thread. The restaurant may decide that they are going to serve the food with no modifications, and if so I will eat elsewhere and that's completely fine. However, if the restaurant wants to attract a wider audience, they'll probably allow for some modifications.
