Great submission ! I really liked Unfriendly Human for its sick bass and really cool drums.

My only concern would be that across the ost, the woodwinds were almost always playing continuously. I personally couldn't stop noticing it and I felt bad for that flute player who had to play without breathing for 50 seconds straight in Town Square.

Nonetheless, it was a lovely OST. I really liked that old JRPG feel.

Favourite track: Unfriendly Human

this is very pretty and the funky jazz flourishes really make it stand out. love the chord progressions too. my only note is you should add some lead melody lines over the chord progressions to tie it all together a little more. overall good stuff!!

Town Square - Good section development on this track.

Into the Well - Nice swing groove and chords you used here.

Friendly Human - This track really grew on me, and after listening to all tracks, I would say this is my favorite one. I like how you used dissonance sparingly to hint at the danger lurking under the surface. This track, while maybe not as complex as Unfriendly Human in some aspects, is very effective at adding complexity to the story, which can be one of the more unique challenges when writing soundtracks.

Unfriendly Human - Good job controlling the overall dynamics of each section by bringing and dropping out instruments. I felt that the bass has some good writing which helps push the track to the next level, as well as the quick arps. Great mixing too.

A Toy to it’s Owner - Good ending track that adds extra depth to the story and overall soundtrack.

I wish this game was real so I can listen to the soundtrack over and over while playing it ngl.

Maybe one thing I would like to see would be more progression in the tracks. They are currently just one main theme which develops over the course over a minute or so and then stops.

Starting with the first track, Town Square,  I'm already captivated by the world and the title of the track is super fitting. I love the drums and the mixing is just perfect.

Into the Well is just beautiful with its mysterious vibes.

And then Unfriendly Human is an absolute banger giving me vibes of The Messenger OST

Nailed the retro JRPG vibe, this soundtrack was coming straight out of the 90's. I thought the fidelity of the piano was a little too high at first, but then I remember fidelity of the sounds in games like Final Fantasy 8 and there was definitely quite a spectrum of sounds used (proper vocal recordings, mixed with orchestral instruments of varying fidelity, and retro synthesizers). Mixing, composition and sound selection were all good, good entry for this jam.

really nice composition! i really enjoy your use of chiptune instruments. track 4 is definitely my favorite, i love the bassline! the melodic line in this one is pretty well achieved too. great submission, thanks for sharing!!

unfriendly human is PEAK. good soundtrack

Good work, some of the musical idea are really cool. Some adjustement on the mix would go a long way, big up for unfriendly human (my favorite track)
