The Biggest Challenge
Image editing. I couldn't (at my skill level) generate the characters I wanted, so I had to get shots from the films, use ezmaker.ai to expand them to full body shots, and manually remove the backgrounds.

AI Tools Used
Opencode (Big Pickle and Nemotron 3 Ultra Free), and ezmaker.ai

I wasn't really sure if the idea was to shoot the characters to collect the ingredients, but I had fun!!

So, the projectiles are actually peppers.

It was great being able to choose my weapon, but I think I would have been even happier if the appearance of the gun I was holding changed as well.

Also, I feel like I could have immersed myself more in the game's world if there had been some explanatory text on the game page.

DOOM-style! Love it. The gun sounds could've been a bit different, though. Collecting pepper is a nice touch, though!

Thanks!  I'm confident I'll be able to do better next jam!

The clicking audio for the gun shot is irritating- I got the vibe of Heavy Bullets but that sound effect has a satisfying crunchy softness to it. Visually disorienting. But I totally get the vision and can see where it can go.

Yeah, the gun aesthetics were on my list, but I ran out of time.  Thanks for the feedback!

I understood it as a game where you defeat enemies and collect pepper. The controls might benefit from some improvement.

Interesting.  When I was play testing the controls always seemed like the least frustrating part of the experience to me.  How would you prefer the controls to work?

This is fun. But I wonder if there’s actually a "game completion" in this game? 🤔

I think I've wiped out all the enemies at least 10 times, but since I still hadn't reached the ending, I hesitated a bit before deciding to stop playing. It's hard to stop playing a enjoyable game on my own, so I really wanted to see the "100% completion" screen if possible...

Anyway, I had a great time. 🙂

Thanks!  The intention was to have an infinite wave, top-score competition kind of thing, but the difficulty scaling never came together the way I wanted it to.  My eyes were, as always, bigger than my stomach.
