I've recently gotten hooked on yet some of tower defense games again—this is the kind I've played countless times before—but while the core mechanics are similar, the fact that you repel enemies rather than attack them… that fresh and interesting idea really drew me in.

I completed up to Stage 5 without any trouble, but no matter how many times I played Stage 6, I just couldn't hold the line. In the end, I had to stop playing without seeing the ending, but I still had a lot of fun. I also felt that the music suited the game very well.

The story cutscenes inserted throughout the game are well-done and really help draw you into the game, but I felt like the skip button wasn't doing its job. Since I was replaying the game over and over, it was a hassle that I couldn't actually skip them.

Overall, though, I had a great time playing it. 🙂

Very interesting game mechanic.

The story text didn't appear in the browsers I use (Vivaldi, Edge, Chrome)...

The characters were highly consistent, the game featured an innovative system, and I was impressed by the high level of technical skill involved.

I'd like to play it again once the issue is resolved.

Really cool game! I love the story.

Just a small thought: transitioning into a defense game based on smells was a bit sudden. Maybe making the defense part easier at first would help players get the hang of it!

I was able to get to around stages 2 and 3!

Really strong atmosphere — the moody art, the VN framing, and "you do not spread a smell, the wind carries it" all sell the curry-scent premise beautifully. Wanted to flag a compatibility issue in case it helps: after the intro dialogue my browser hit a black screen, and the console threw "WebGL2 が使えない / WebGL2 required for the scent field." So players whose browsers don't expose WebGL2 will get stuck at that transition. A software-render or Canvas2D fallback (even a low-fi one) would let more people reach the actual gameplay. Will happily come back and rate the core loop once I can get past it. Nice work on the presentation!

Couple things- I was expecting the game to start when I opened, I clicked around a bit and nothing happened, waited, then clicked some more and the characters showed up. Maybe a bug? The audio also didnt load until I refreshed and tried again- I am experiencing a similar lag on my game with audio so might just be the nature of the beast. Next problem is that when things did load- there is no text where there appears to need to be text. It says cook, I click, more people show up, but no one is talking.

Visuals are great. Good audio. I think the concept is interesting, I couldn't really figure out what I am supposed to do but I understood that the smell was driving people away which I assume is the goal.

The text appeared in my browser.

It didn't work in Brave.

It seems there's an issue with the text in some browsers. Sorry about that!

Instead of a tutorial,

I'm explaining things through the story,

so if you can't see the story text,

you might not quite understand.

I really like the style of the text and characters. The idea of driving enemies away with smells instead of attacking them is great!

Thank you for the compliments on the writing and the characters.

Since this is a game unlike anything that’s come before, we really struggled to make it work as a game.

nice game but i don’t know what to do

Developer

Thanks for playing.

You'll find clues in the story.

Non-human beings are sensitive to smells.

Nice game, but a bit confusing!

Developer

There was a bug.

I've tweaked it a little since then—

what do you think?
