Nice entry! That hamster died protecting us all..but then I guess we all died anyway.

Really fun gamee!

Really cool, I like how part of the difficulty curve is the code getting longer that's a really cool idea.
It also took me a while to realise there were multiple weapons, I think that should be more clear in the tutorial.
Great work though!

Cool one. The vibes reminded me to NuclearThrone a bit.

Hello fellow small-cute-heroes fan ^^

I died on wave 5 ! XD

Nice game, I like the gameplay. It made me think of classic top-down roguelites/shoot'em'up, and I didn't encounter a single bug. I got blocked once by trees when trying to get some ammo, I'm not sure it was intentional and I think it's just how the objects are placed.

I liked the tension of fighting + handling the bomb with a code that gets longer as time goes.

As others have said, it was maybe a bit too difficult, or I would have appreciated easier first waves and a more gradual increase in difficulty.

thanks a lot ! I may have overtuned the difficulty a bit honestly, since it's my first game jam I thought it would be better if the game doesn't last too, I tried to avoid having people play the game for a bit and get bored. Thank you so much for your feedback !

No worries I totally understand ! I'm fairly new to this too (I started learning godot last winter, and jams this summer) and I'm really bad at balancing game difficulty so... I give feedback from a player viewpoint but it doesn't mean I'd have done better lol

And you're probably right about the game's length, I think I did make this mistake for my own game. It takes quite a long time to finish if you want to get to win the game and if people don't have a lot of time to test and rate the jam's games well, they're probably pissed at my game ><

Really enjoyed this! Only made it to wave 7, but really like the concept, and the hamster with an AK47 got a good chuckle out of me. Great work on a first jam game! - Tim

Very good concept that has potential. Personally i think difficulty was a little too much mostly because of the smoothed gun movement while yes that is cool gameplay wise its not fun (especially when reloading)

Also since there was a simple tutorial explaining what the goal was, having a textbox saying you can switch weapons would be appreciated! i only realized during the second playthrough and during my first i had to use only the sniper!

Other than that very good game and with some adjustments it can be very fun!

edit: forgot to mention there was a bug where the next wave never started resulting in a softlock. This only happened once however.

love the art style :)

Interesting and fun idea.

Adorable and fun! I think I got confused early on with my aim felt off while it rotated away. The code length increasing over time is an amazing touch. I do wish the ammo crates were closer to the center of the map, but I love my little hamster commando <3

Good Job!

Developer

thank you so much ! The ammo crates were meant as a way to force the player to "abandon" the bomb for short periods and to make you think strategically on when to go pick them up.
However I might have overdone it haha
