This game has the most character and charm of any submission I've played, by far! Worf is such a well-written, funny and loveable character. "What even are you?" "I'm level 2!" Brilliant xD
On top of that the gameplay is simple yet addictive. Very clever rock-paper-scissors style combat system. Can't believe how much polish went into this in 10 days.
Do you plan on continuing the game's development after the jam? I'd love to see more! Either way, you've gained a new follower. Brilliant entry :)
Immaculate representation and a neat spin “rock-paper-scissors” combat system. The call out the bones moments still feel epic no matter how many times I did it.
Visually the game is stunning, the only small “issue” I have is the bright white flashes on combat, that could have a more toned down colors (cyan for ex).
OST and sfx are great, a smidge to loud though!
The game has the vibes and looks to be a gameboy one, good idea implemented beautifully!
Awesome designs and pixel art. The humor was also really good. I had a bug in one of the battles where I could not select anything and I could not finish the game, when selecting a resurrected monster from my team.
Sorry about that! That'll go on my list of things to fix after the jam. I hope you enjoyed it regardless!
gorgeous art and music/sfx! very charming game, i really liked that the battle icons made it immediately clear which was which of their rock, paper, scissor equivalents
the skele bois are so sick! Are you supposed to know what they're about to throw out or is it kinda guess work rock, paper, scissors? I understood the mechanic but couldnt figure out if I was actually supposed to know. Either way great job!
Glad you liked the game!! Every enemy starts from a random point in their attack sequence, but after a few turns you can figure out where in the sequence they are, and predict what they'll do next!
I love the art and humor!
Wow! Loved Worf's dialogue, it somehow reminded me of Sans :)
The combat system is easy to understand and challenging at the same time.
The art is so good and the story is really funny.
Super good job on this entry!
Love the artstyle, gameplay and humor! Great job!
Really loved the game, fully 5 stars. Played all the way trough with some challenge but was getting the patterns very quickly in my head.
I really love the art and story with Worf, it really gave me Undertale vibes (I assume you went with that idea?).
Very well done game could be a winner for me!
very cool experience! i love the colour choices and enemy designs
Very graphically rich experience, with a solid soundtrack to boot and compelling lore. Simply exploring the city and its outskirts alone is an immersive experience. However, the gameplay itself is rather half-baked and doesn't do much to complement the story. Future development could explore further the aspect of recruiting your own skeleton army to deliver a unique experience, which I would argue is the brighest spot in the game from a gameplay standpoint.
Really good color choices, absolutely adored the character intros. The art all around I'd say is the games' strongest point by far.
I was about to ragequit right before I realized enemies have predictable patterns, maybe a subtle hint would be worth including if you plan of continuing the game.
As it stands I ended up not hating the combat, but it didn't feel particularly engaging either.
I did beat the boss though, and the 3v1 sequence felt way more compelling and engaging than all the 1v1 fiddling. You can actually work out patterns like a puzzle using your minions health as a resource in a way that felt strategic rather than brute forcing it.
Would love to see the game more fleshed out!
Thanks for playing! One of the skulls can tip you off about enemy patterns, but if you didn't find it, maybe I should put it somewhere more obvious!
loved the art. Very undertale/deltarune like!
Awesome visuals and music and really well put together, but I don't like how the combat is trial and error
