Hey everyone, I`m the creator of the WildFIRE Expanded Universe of novels, comics, games, and anime - Nice to meet you all! Engine-wise, I`m primarily a Unity and mobile developer, but for the past few years I`ve mostly been focused on worldbuilding, narrative design, and storytelling for my games. You can check those out on my page and play some of the demos!

Have a great weekend, and I hope to see some of you around!

C.D.U.L.O.: Beyond The Outer Rim (Game)

Hello cre8tive! I'm Manuel, I work at Ambystoma. Do you need help to reach new players? I can help you translating your project into Mexican Spanish or Latin-american Spanish. Currently I'm working in our portfolio so I'm offering my services for free. Send me a message if you need help :)!

Hello everyone 🤗 I'm Belle Rivers. I'm a software engineer who's currently working as an indie designer and developer with my best friend Senna  as part of Ronna Femto's team.🤍 I come from an African/Asian country that has ancient civilization (Guess where 🤫). I love a lot of types of games as long as they're not NSFW. If I'm not working on my game you'll find me either reading mystery books or writing one 🤭. I'm still new to the community so I'd be happy to follow, connect, and talk over games all the time.

P.S. I love using emojis all the time 😉

hello!

Hi nice to meet you 🤗 I've just checked your designs and I'm really impressed. 😮

hey! do you want to play our game? your thoughts are precious to us 🌹 Recipe frenzy

Hi Belle Rivers, welcome!

Ethiopia? that was my guess

what kinda games do u like to make? and would you say having a software-engineering background aids ur game dev by a lot?

(+1)

Hey there nice to meet you. 🤗 No, I'm from Egypt. ✌🏻

I only made 1 game so far but I'd love to try making visual novels, strategic games, and adventure games. Having software engineering background had certainly helped. Actually even in normal apps and websites they're trying to add gamification so it is not so hard to adapt. Maybe the only difference between Game Development and Software Engineering is the depths of Game Design and the Game Community's values. I'm still getting used to them by the help of good friends I got to know here on itch.io. ☺️

Hello World of itch!
My name is Nathan, I've been making games ever since my uncle got me game maker 7 when I was 13, I'm 29 now and have nothing to show for it other than my passion and love for creating digital worlds for other peoples entertainment.

I Love watching people play my games and seeing how they tackle the puzzles and challenges.

Currently I'm trying to break into the market for PC games because I'm broke from enjoying life too much lol.

Unfortunately I don't make games for IOS or anything like that but now that I've upgraded my game maker version, hopefully with some effort you might find me on the apple store some day.

Please leave a follow on my account and check out my games. I've got free games and pay to play games. My top reccomendation right now would be Purrfect Jumping, an online highscore endless runner.

If you know any streamers or are one yourself I'd love to watch you or your friends playing my games so please share and help me break the mold.

(+1)

Hi Nathan, nice to meet you!

(+1)

Hey Nathan! There are great streamers in Feedback Quest Jam. They're not accepting new entries now but you can find the creators' links in the description so maybe you can contact them. ☺️

(+1)

Hey that's really helpful to know, thank yu so much.

Most welcome, happy to be of help 😇

Hmm, I just started ithc.io the other day, but it's pretty fun. I go by Gokuraku

Hello! I am new here, but not to my field of work.

You may call me the CREATOR. I've been creating a video game called Dreamer for the last ten years.

Please, give it a try whenever you feel like it, and if you want to criticize it, go ahead. I'm semi-hating it already since my skills have improved over time. The game...has not.

Hello CREATOR! Nice to meet you. I couldn't find Dreamer on your profile page. But I hope you release a new game with the skills you developed. ☺️

(1 edit) (+1)

Yeah, I'm doing a whole "make sure it's JUUUUST right" before I actually post it. Check tomorrow and it'll be there. In any case, it's nice to meet you too, Belle Rivers!

In addition, I'm thinking of releasing another game called Moonlite. If Dreamer works out, I'll start seriously considering it.

I checked it out but unfortunately I’m a Mac user. I read the FAQs and saw that there’s nothing to do about it. 😞

I hope Dreamer works out for you and even if it doesn’t I think you should go for Moonlite anyway, because why stop making games? ☺️

Thanks for trying, anyway. If you want to help, it would be nice to get some publicity via social media. (And even if you don’t play it, I’m sure you know friends who probably would!) And…yeah, I’m thinking hard and deep about it. Dreamer suffered from being made when I knew little, and Moonlite shall not suffer the same problems. It may, however, be reasonably darker in tone and story.

By the way, thanks for getting back to me! You’re the first supporter to my video game projects!

Ten years!!! That's enough time to master a few langauges and create hundreds of games my size!!! I must play this!!!!!

Haha, yeah! In that same amount of time, I’ve also taken to writing what might literally be the best fanfiction ever. (I know this sounds conceited, but Sturgeon’s Law scientifically proves that 90% of all fanfiction is terrible, and the one I’m writing is using writing techniques that the remaining 10% I’ve seen aren’t using. That being said. If you don’t care about Pokémon Sun & Moon, I advise you to stay away from it.)

Anyway! Back to being logical, I hope you enjoy it!

Hello! nice to meet you Am kozmo , starting in itch.oi may be tough but am sure it'l go great!

Nice to meet you Kozmo! I bet it’ll go great, too!

Hello CREATOR! I'm Manuel, I work at Ambystoma. Do you need help to reach new players? I can help you translating your game into Mexican Spanish or Latin-american Spanish. Currently I'm working in our portfolio so I'm offering my services for free. Send me a message if you need help :)!

I am not currently concerned with reaching out more players, but yes! A Spanish translation would be fun to have beside my English translation! Have fun translating it and I will give you a dedicated spot in the credits! (P.S. Get ready to bust out your handwriting skills…)

Sure! Just send me a message!

Damien's point about scope is the one that actually stuck with me. 2.5 years for a 30 hour RPG solo is wild but the advice to limit your first one to 3-5 characters is genuinely the only reason I ever finished anything. I started with way too big an idea, scrapped it, made something tiny, shipped it. Now trying the same discipline with a small project while messing around in this latest FF OB55 advance server on the side. Anyone else find short breaks between dev sessions actually help you come back with clearer eyes?

Hi everyone,

I'm AmazonianAngel, an aspiring Indie Game Developer from the UK, and currently developing a Gameboy Color Game which takes inspiration from various 2D Games in the Legend of Zelda series.

I've been into computers for a long time, mostly using Windows, but have made the switch over to Linux Mint a year ago, so glad i did.
I used to be more into HW focused stuff, but I have slowly gotten more into Software Development. I've dabbled in various languages C# and XNA Framework, C++ and SFML, Some knowledge of HTML/CSS/JS, but not made any serious progress with anything. I discovered GB Studio which has allowed me to bring some of my ideas to life.

Hope this didn't sound too formal.

(1 edit)

Hey AmazonianAngel nice too meet you! Looking forward to hearing all about your new game. Make sure to post dev logs so we can follow up with all its updates. ☺️

Hello everyone, I'm Liminary and I'm a first time solo developer, I am a creative person, love to work on my game, draw, watch Manwha's and anime.

Feel free to check out my free demo on my first game! https://liminary-dev.itch.io/between-places-demo

Hi! Total newbie here….
The name is UglyMike, I am not a game developer and I am a bit out of my depth here….

About a month ago, I posted a browser-based Basic interpreter at uglymike.itch.io. (There are some primitive games in the ‘Open Examples’ however) This version is now obsolete, but I have no idea how to upgrade it (even forgot how I uploaded it the first time…)

I created 3 posts, but if I look at ‘Posts’, all three are still awaiting approval apparently…

I want to join the community but am stuck at the moment. Can someone give me some pointer

Got an indie game in English and want Spanish-speaking players to actually find it?

Working on a demo, a visual novel, a short film, or some small audiovisual project that needs subtitles or localization? At Ambystoma, we help indie creators get their work in front of new people.

Hi everyone!

I don’t really consider myself a game developer, just someone who loves games and is very curious. I’m a big fan of pixel art and graphics that remind me of the SNES, which was my favorite console growing up.

I started creating a few mini-games out of curiosity, using AI tools to help with both programming and creating some of the assets. It has been a really fun way to learn, experiment, and turn some of my ideas into playable games.

I’d like to share my itch.io profile here, where you can check out and play the games:

I’d be very happy to receive feedback and constructive criticism, especially from people who also develop games.

Thank you! :)

Hello Natália (or should I say Recolore?😉)

I checkout out your profile and I’d definitely be trying both your games in my free time ☺️. Nice to meet you. 😇

Hello everyone

Hello there 🤗

Hello Peanuts! Nice to meet you. ☺️

What type of games do you like playtesting? My friend and I just published our first game and the second one’s prototype is coming soon so I was wondering if you’d be interested in giving your thoughts about it. 🙈

(+2)

Hi there! Nice to meet you too! ☺️

Huge congratulations on publishing your first game and working on your next prototype!

I really enjoy playtesting a wide variety of genres, especially Indie titles, Strategy/Simulators, Bullet Hell, and Puzzle/Action games. My main focus when testing is providing constructive feedback on UI/UX usability, onboarding, audio immersion, and identifying bugs/localization issues to help polish the player experience. (Even if I try harder to have fun in the middle of it all and become a professional)

I’d be more than happy to check out your game and give you detailed thoughts! Feel free to share the link to your first game or send over the prototype whenever it's ready.

Best of luck with the development, and looking forward to playing it!

(+1)

Thank you! ☺️

We all get lost in our work and sometimes forget about it as we enjoy playing games so I totally get you 🤭.

Our prototype for new game is not ready yet, but I'll definitely be sending you the link to try it out when we're done with it. If you want you can check out Recipe Frenzy🙈 And my friend and I welcome all kinds of feedback (constructive criticism is also included 😉).

Okie, ill give it a try after i test some other games first⭐

Hello Peanuts!

Hello 👋

I am the real goat (or trg or the1realgoat) and i make music.

Hello everyone!

I've been doing projects with Ren'py by myself. I hope one day I'll have a something complete enough to share. I do some fooling around with coding, illustration and writing music, though I don't consider myself a pro in any of these fields.

I'm looking forward to understanding the community and participating in some jams maybe.

See you around!

Hi Everyone,

I`m the creator of the PawnStars a real chess engine and other smaller games - It's nice to meet you all!. Lives in Sweden. I write everything myself and reuses code in the next project. In that way each game can be more complex then the previous one. Love to solve problems and have coded lots of different things. Everything from Basic parsers,  games, servers,  databases. I primary work in C / C++/ PHP/ CSS. But if you know one thing. The next thing is not that hard...

I dare to say that graphics is not my strong suit. Too be teamed up would be a nice addition. I did play lot's MSX and DOS games when i was younger so have a bunch of games inspired and retro remakes on the way.  Please feel free too check out my already created software. More is on the way.

https://magnusgrander.itch.io/

Would be awesome too get some feedback or get contact with the same interest.

Hey everyone! 👋 I’m a solo/indie dev working on games with my friend. We’re still pretty new to the itch.io community and would love to meet other indie devs here!

What are you guys currently working on? I’d love to check out your games and hear what you’re making 😊
