Hey very cool game.
I found a few bugs:
- the wizards where not shooting when I am a certain distance away.
- I could not jump when a platform is moving up
But the game still gives me some retro vibes so good job :)
To be honest, It’s actually fun with lots of different level scenes. But small issues though. First, in one scene I fell into the water but didn’t die. I was stuck underwater with no way to climb out and had to restart the game. Second, the boss is way too hard. The boss’s skill design itself is solid — you clearly put a lot of thought into it. But its attacks barely pause at all. I can only keep dodging and never get an opening to strike. I’ve tried dozens of times and still can’t beat it. I don’t know how much more content comes after, but I’m totally stuck on this boss.
Also, the dash feels a bit underwhelming. There’s no invincibility frame or something while dashing, so I keep dashing into damage and killing myself lol.
Still, it’s a really solid try. Keep going!
thank you for your time playing my game .
i'll definitely consider your notes to hopefully upgrade my game designe
The controls are pretty nice and the game is responsive! Though, maybe it is way too smooth to be in the spirit of a gameboy game.
Aside from that, I couldn't hear the music well, and I don't think it was looping...
The level design is pretty nice though!
haha i would say it a good thing not hearing that music i put .
thank you for your time and feedback
Hey, nice work on the level design! It stays varied and never gets monotonous.
I haven't been able to complete the game, as the boss kept killing me. Maybe I'm missing something crucial about the combat system.
Just a little note on shooting upward: it feels a bit clunky because you're forced to jump to do it.
Anyway, good job!
