How does your game meet GBJam's theme
My game is about an old pirate, so old that he has been turned into a ghost, and you, the player, helping him to recover his long lost treasure... His gold hat.
Another minor mechanic I thought implemented was that you have to pay for checkpoints. I'm not sure if this counts, but I'll mention it either way.

This is a very neat platformer. I really enjoyed the hat mechanic, especially the part where you have to platform to catch up to it. I also enjoyed all the text at the end, I stayed for all of it. Great job!

Solid game, I had a lot of fun playing it. You should reset the gold coins if you die, so it's not possible to just chill while collect them all, and then do the speedrun ;)

Loved the art and music and the platforming felt almost like a speedrun trying to get back to your hat which definitely added some fun intensity to the game!

I like the pleasing visual style, interesting game mechanics, and the calm pace and soundtrack. There were some issues with the camera and noticeable sub-pixel movement, but overall—great work!

Nice look, the scalloped trim along every platform edge gives it a storybook feel instead of plain tiles. and paying for checkpoints is a proper idea, it makes gold something you spend against risk instead of a counter going up. nice job
