enjoyable gameplay
Thank you for playing
Really incredible! The colour control you've managed through dithering is really impressive. The gameplay was very fun, and even the tooltips during loading got a chuckle out of me. Excellent work!
We definitely had a fun time making this project. I am glad we were able to make you smile. Thank you for playing.
This is a really cool game, I love the way the black holes were used in the levels. It's a shame there is no linux build, as the game felt like it was really held back by the restrictions in the web build.
We can export to Linux np 🙂 i think the big restrictions we ran into were just related to load times / stuttering and the limitations of particle effects on browser otherwise we were alright.
I'd appreciate it!
Should be all set! I tested it on my laptop and it appears to be good to go. Please let us know otherwise!
Works perfectly, was very enjoyable. I liked seeing your sanity chacks :P
I'm gonna be honest here, you fooled me for a second. At first, I thought there were four colors used. Man, the dithering here is absolutely astounding. Amazing how much dimension you can achieve with only two colors and dithering. This is very solid! Also, purple is a nice touch.
Thank you, that was one of the first things the team tried to perfect was the 1Bit visuals in a 3D scene. If you are interested here are the resources we used to implement a simple 1 bit shader with dithering:
https://sambigos.itch.io/godot-dither-shader - Demo
https://github.com/samuelbigos/godot_dither_shader - Implementation instructions
https://lospec.com/palette-list - Palette resource
https://github.com/tromero/BayerMatrix - Bayer Matrix (This is what makes the dither)
https://godotshaders.com/shader/dither-gradient-shader-updated-for-4-5-original-by-sambigos/ - Updated Gdshader for godot. (We’ll be using this one for the actual code)
Thank you for playing!
Noting we ended up using our own palette instead of the ones on lospec as none matched what the team wanted. Though lopsec still is a great resource I ended up generating a bunch of potential palettes on https://www.coolors.in/ based on what the team was looking for. super useful site.
Overall a pretty good game and seems like a lots of work has gone into it. I love the colour palette used.
Thank you, we def wanted to try a unique palette. Thank you for playing!
i really love the art syle
Thank you! It was a lot of fun to make! And thank you for playing our game.
Nice graphics, menus and overall level of polish. Plus i like those types of game. I think biggest downside of this entry is the sound design. No music is always left out potential. The acceleration sounds, sound weired/not very pleasable to listen to imo. For the collectables i would have picked a "higher" sound note, and i would have gave them a vfx when getting destroyed. But in overall good job nevertheless.
Thank you for the specific, criticism. No Music in game was definitely an oversight, and collectable VFX would 100% enhance the experience. Thank you for playing.
Y'know that's one of those things where you turn your sound off so you don't go mad testing and forget to check if it still sounds okay lol Thanks for the feedback definitely valid. Glad you enjoyed the game!
Very cool sfx and nice graphics. Good game!
Glad you enjoyed!
