How does your game meet GBJam's theme
The premise of the game is pick "old gold" out of your nose. It was stuffed in the nose 50 years ago. Now you need the money.

This is definitely a unique concept, I enjoyed it.

love the concept so much xDDD

Submitted

Hahaha, super fun concept! Had fun playing it, love how you used the theme

Hilarious take on the theme! XD

Highly amusing concept, I played to the end, though have to mention the Gameboy resolution requirement isn't met, and there is technically some extra inputs (you can use tab to cycle through UI elements, and the title screen reacts to mouse). Still, cool game!

Developer

Thanks for playing. What do you mean by resolution being incorrect? The viewport is set to 160 x 144p

Submitted

I mean the UI elements aren't the same resolution as the pixel art behind it. It seems the game window itself is larger than 160x144, even though you have a viewport at the correct resolution stretched to fit. For example, the money counter is much higher resolution than Mr Holden Gold, it would be using a pixel font with the same sized pixels as him.

Why are the graphics nothing like Gameboy? lol

Developer (1 edit)

lol! Im not an artist I guess.

I didn't want to be rude. What I'm asking is why didn't you stick to 160x144p like the rules said

Developer

It is 160x144p. With square pixels. Its scaled per the rules. Thanks for playing though

definitely the most unique take on the theme ive seen so far. simple incremental gameplay, maybe a little slow.

Developer

Thanks for giving it a try!

Best use of the theme ever! 😄

That said, I got to around 3,500 in five minutes, so I don't think I'm going to try reaching the 100K goal. =)

Developer

Thanks for playing!

Nice premise, and the karat and gram weight actually multiplying out to the dollar value is a great detail, the maths genuinely holds across picks. playing something that silly completely straight is what makes it land. nice job

Developer

Thanks for checking it out!
