After careful consideration, I'm sorry to say I've decided to disqualify this submission for the following reasons:
1. It does not conform the Game Boy resolution of 160x144
2. You technically have no game submitted seems you removed it and just linked to an alternative page instead. People are unable to rate your game fairly because of this.
It's not a decision I make lightly, and I hope you understand. Thanks.

Developer(+1)

Hey, I totally understand the moderation. To clarify, the game and every asset was centered at 160x144. Maybe Godot's web export forced a viewport stretch that I couldn't override in time.

As for the removed file, I was following the advice Polyducks gave on the forums to use a mirror page. As when I submitted the game, I realised that mouse controls couldn't be used, but unfortunately it wouldn't let me resubmit my game file. The version I published on the mirror page uses keyboard controls for A and B, I just forgot to edit the tutorial due to panic. I appreciate you guys taking the time to review it.

LargePootato and I spent countless hours trying to make our game meet the GBJAM limitations, and us being very new to game development, we encountered issues that could not be resolved perfectly. We appreciate you taking the time to review it despite the upload issue.

Thank you for understanding. I take no pleasure in disqualifying entries where it's clear people invested a lot of effort. I just wanted to take a minute to mention a couple of points you raised:
Trouble with the resolution: There's a godot template you're welcome to use in the resources channel on our discord. If you don't want to use that, the folks on discord and the community board are really helpful. You're never alone if you get stuck.
Removal of original entry: None of the moderators or hosts would tell you to delete the original submission. If someone tells you to do that, it wasn't us. Adding a link to an alternative project is fine, and one we often suggest if there's a game breaking bug, but you should never remove the original file you submitted to the jam.
I hope this clears things up a bit, and we see you again next year. Please don't be afraid to ask for help when you need it, or use the resources we provide on discord.
Cheers!

fun little collection of mini-games! the art is a pretty fun style too, despite the resolution issues. there shouldn’t be any mouse input in your game, so the menus break the rules a bit, but you did good with the gameplay.

Thank you! I actually did notice the mouse controls right after submitting the game, which is why I tried resubmitting the game file. Unfortunately  we had to make a mirror page according to Polyducks. The new updated version uses keyboard controls, I completely forgot to edit the tutorial in the rush 😅

As for the resolution, I'm not sure about what happened since my peers and I tested the game and it seemed okay. Maybe it was a Godot issue.

Hello. While it's OK to link to alternative builds on your project page, the original submission should NOT be removed. People cannot rate fairly on an updated version of the game that was submitted past the deadline.

Developer

Yes I apologise. I could not update the game file due to the controls issue so we had to make a mirror page following Polyducks' advice.

Really amazing game ! I love the WarioWare concept !

The graphics are amazing, the main character looks funny ^^

The only suggestion I would say is to increase the difficulty each level (like make it go faster or harder)

Developer(+1)

Ah there is actually a difficulty increase, but it's not very noticeable haha. The pixel art took me a long time to make so I really appreciate your comment! :)

Really fun game! The only criticism I have is some of the sprites resolutions don't seem to match, you can fix this by changing the stretch mode to viewport and scale mode to integer in the Godot project settings. Anyway that's a minor thing, the game is great otherwise.

Developer

I see, I didn't know you could do that! Thank you :)

This makes me want to play WarioWare for the first time, I really enjoyed it. Just one little thing, tho, I don't know it it was me, but I was only able to stop the slot machine with the space bar, neither K nor J keys worked for me.

Developer(+1)

Ah it must be a bug, I'll fix it soon. Thanks for the feedback!

WarioWare vibes!  The slot machine was my favorite and the monkey art is adorable!

Developer

That's very sweet, thank you!

So many unique minigames that I unfortunately suck at LOL. I'm not sure what buttons to press during the mash session! But the rapidfire pace of the game is kinda activating my brain.

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks for playing! For the mash, you can either use F or for mobile, B. Glad you enjoyed the game :)

Congrats on finishing your entry!

Great style and charm! Fun selection of minigames. Had fun playing through this short game. Least favorite game was mashing the button haha.

Developer(+1)

The anchor minigame can get frustrating haha. Thanks for playing :)

Wow, this is really awesome. I would struggle to find any issues here, this is very well done. It feels a lot like WarioWare and Mario Party which I love. Great job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! I appreciate the kind words :)
