I loved the weirdness of the enemies and overall design of the game! Movement was very responsive and snappy, which felt great. Very solid submission that I enjoyed completing- good work!

I am loving the animations in this, palette of choice really suits the vibe the game is going for.  The arrow as a platform is actually pretty genius for a mechanic.
I had fun getting through the end of the game. It's pretty fun!! Although...

That eyeball... I had a beef with that floating eyeball, my true nemesis...

The graphics are great, the chosen colors were really unique, the gameplay was also really challenging and really had that souls like games. The Main Boss took me a while but I understood how to defeat him. Fantastic Job with the game.

Wow, this was a hard platformer! But I was able to finish it. I really liked how you used the arrow mechanic as another platform. My only feedback is that in a few areas, like the final boss, there were hearts on the platforms above that I couldn’t reach, not even with the arrows. Overall, it was a really fun and challenging game!

Liked the implentation of the bow in the gameplay and the foreshadowing of it. The exploding eyeball and floating one too were really hard to dodge though!

Developer

I'm so glad you liked the bow idea. The eyeball guys are for sure too tough and unbalanced  as they are, and need more work for sure.

A very cool game, I really like the aesthetics, took me some time to figure out how to beat the final boss as he wouldn't take damage, I struggled a bit with the attack controls as sometimes I was trying to hit but it would pull the bow, I would use different controls for them, and the floating eyes were also tough. Overall I enjoyed it very much.

Appreciate it a ton. I can't believe you actually  managed to beat the boss most people never even got to him!

We're also thinking of adding more controls for the bow and deflecting now that the jam limitations are over.

Very cool game! Some of the controls were annoying, but the graphics were great and I would've kept playing if I didn't die over and over (lol). Keep going!

Developer

I'm glad you liked the game thanks for giving it a shot. We definitely will be working on balancing the game.

Those big eyeball guys are tough!  The Archer boss had me going until I was told that I could deflect his arrows back at him (and even then it took a few tries).  ... the whole game is kinda tough, actually, but that's not a bad things.

Good for people who love tough games. :D

The vibe of this game with the red background is immaculate. The combat was smooth though I think the bow has some kind of cooldown? Sometimes it wouldn't work if I started holding the button right after firing. Comparing this to how I handled side-scrolling combat in my game, I could use a few pointers lol. Nice job :)

Developer

Thank you for playing the game, I'm so glad you liked the vibe and the art. Yeah the bow can be really buggy atm we'll definitely work on changing and fixing its mechanics a bit.

This has been my favorite game I have played so far! The game was so fun and I really loved the palette you had and tone it set. Nicely done! Let me know if you want any constructive criticism too!

Thank you so much for the kind words, it's really encouraging to hear it. The game was put together so last minute that I'm surprised it even runs. I'd also love to hear your criticism and places where I can improve:).
