Interesting game, but like already mentioned, Latitude and Longitude are mixed up which made it confusing to get the hints correctly.

This game definitely has some of the best GameBoy graphics I’ve seen! I really like the idea too, especially of drawing on a map outside of the game itself, kinda like the old days. I played this on stream today (recording here) and like other commenters I did get stuck due to the mix up between latitude and longitude. Whether due to the game or my own misunderstanding, I definitely started doubting my own understanding of which was which.

Regardless, I had a good time with it. Great job!

Phenominal game.

I thought I narrowed down the possibilities to one, but it wasn't it, so either I misinterpreted one of the clues or someone's a duplicitous sea rat and gave me a bad clue.

Art art is charming, the music good, though after beating my face against the wall long enough, the ocean wave sound did get a little grating. Though perhaps that was the point, to numb the player's brain with the pulse of the pounding sea...

O how many ways the crew found better uses for my shovel.....

Game is super interesting, unfortunately I couldnt beat it without a hint which is a real bummer!

I'm in love with this game. It has a really tight atmosphere, i really enjoyed this sweet little treasure hunt.
I also want to point out the amazing character design in this, as well as the other art ofc. But the parrot i.e.... what a lovely fellow!
Overall incredibly polished for a 10 day jam!

Nice art! I found by luck on my second try the treasure :D

I'm in love with the art design for this game! Very striking.

Amazing game! The premise hooked me from the start and the clues were very clear.  Each new clue I was finding got me closer to the goal. Super polished, great job!

Awesome job on the overall feel of the game. I think it has the Gameboy soul in spades.

Really great across the board, although I'll echo the sentiments from other folks about some lack of clarity with the clues. Well done overall!

Cool game. Pretty nice concept of gathering info and exploring. I think there's another X that respect all constraints though, and the correct answer kept saying "You can't dig here" when I was on top of it (had to go a little bit below it to be able to dig).

The music is good, didn't stick into my head but didn't annoy me. It was the perfect background music that doesn't get in the way while the player tries to think and check all clues. Sound effects were pretty good. The waves crashing sound is a great touch, would never have thought doing it. The artstyle is pretty much like a game boy (better actually but still keeping the roots).

Really sweet game, good job!

This was a fun little puzzle game! The art was great, and I had fun trying to narrow down to the right answer from the hint. My biggest uncertainty was related to positioning. When I dig, am I digging in front of me or directly on the tile I'm standing on?

Nice fun game! I do like how the palette colors somehow matches the pirate theme.

Great graphics. It has a nice story. I really liked the puzzle aspect, fun and simple gameplay. Great job!

Really fun little game, I will have to play it again though as I’ve yet to find the treasure. How much margin of error is there with the latitude/longitude thing?

I have the map open in aseprite on the other monitor drawing lines, but think I should be drawing boxes perhaps XD that or I’m getting lat and long the wrong way despite checking twice…. can’t rule that out, I am an idiot.

Anyway, back to the game, music, art, vibes all feel real nice. Real solid execution here, well done.

It took me more than an hour to find the treasure, all because longitude and latitude are so confusing to me for absolutely no reason.
The good thing is that I got to use the map out of frustration.

It's not your fault. The words are mixed up in the game.

Love the pixel art and colors, and the printable treasure map is a cool touch!

Didn’t finished it cuz my patience is crap. But the game is very polished, fun and quirky. Also pirate themed games >>> (notice the jolly roger behind my propic lmfao).

Sad for no music even in I’m not sure its skill issues on my end.

I played it on the gameboy. Excellent submission! Love that you included a printer option though I havent got one. Such a great idea though!

amazing game, love the colour palette and the whole visual style. beautiful pixel art. the music is amazing too and fits the theme well. the characters are charming. i just could not for the life of me figure out where that treasure is buried. is there a trick to it? be honest.

So when you combine all the clues, you should be able to narrow it down to one X.

i guess i'll just have to try again then! not that i mind playing a fun game some more :D

okay so i've found the treasure with trial and error and it's completely possible i'm misunderstanding how coordinates work, but is it possible longitude/latitude are confused with each other in the barrell/rock clue? love your game, it's really sweet!
