How does your game meet GBJam's theme
It's a game about antique coins and identifying forgeries. You need to find the real old gold.

A stellar-looking and sounding game with a unique concept. Though I don't do so well with recognising which coins are real or fake. Still, though, great job! Even I couldn't have thought of something like this for the jam!
If you like, you could play my forgetful goldfish game.
I really enjoyed the concept of learning the game and the coins themself withouth needing to download somethign external, that just didn’t really sit well with me. Overall I haven’t noticed the date pattern yet to know which date could be wrong but other clues were well defined. Made it over 750 on my last day after scoring an old coin for a bargain price.
The game looks lovely, coins have distinct arts so the can be differentiated from each other, clues are mostly well defined.
Music and sfx were great, a smidge loud but nothing too bad there either.
Overall neat concept, surprised to see to coin investigation games on one jam! Well done!
Cool concept for a game! Using an external PDF definitely felt like consulting a instruction manual that came with the cartridge, which was neat. The graphics were quite nice as well.
I played this on stream today (recording here) in case you’re interested in watching someone play your game (I am unfortunately not very good at it though). Good job!
OKAY sound and music, come thru! Such an amazing sound track with the jazz feeling. Gameplay was smooth and simple to understand which I enjoyed! I am a huge fan of the pixel art, the coins were done so so well and the game's cover just drew me in. Lovely work!
Very fun and super polished! Actually felt like a complete game. Was definitely more fun to play 2 people, where the other had the manual open:)
Very innovative! I love the use of the booklet and design of the booklet to aid gameplay. I loved Papers Please and this reminds me a lot of it minus all of the depressing overtones. Also a huge fan of a raccoon MC. SFX and Music were fun albeit a little lacking in GameBoy aesthetics, but that's not a requirement.
I think this was my favorite game so far! Good music, fun graphics, and a really fun twist. The manual was a great idea and a fun way to call back to old-school games that always came with a little booklet that everyone threw out.
This game was really fun. I think I would of probably had more fun if I had the manual printed but overall very good game! Enjoyed it greatly.
Good concept, good graphics, catchy music. I like the idea of having your own "manual" to figure out which coins are worthy.
Could see this as a Steam release with more polish for sure. Though it would be cool to have the guide in-game
Fun polished game!
Only danger is if you loose the manual :)
One could also argue that a gameboy game should be portable and not require extra stuff to be carried with to be playable. One would be a fool to buy this game as a loose cart only.
Good job!
Very fun!
Beautiful artwork! I love the coins and the lore you've put behind them. It was a lot of fun!
I don't think this follows the color-palette rules of the jam. It's a neat idea, though.
Where do you see it goes over 4 colors? We had a shader that snaps to 4 colors so even if somewhere, by accident a 5th one would come out, it should be snapped back
Excellent art and an interesting concept!
I loved the game's concept (even though I'm terrible at spotting some of the fake coins XD). I absolutely loved the music!!! Really chill!
fun concept, i love the little booklet to flip through, and the art and music is PEAK!
That was fun! I love the manual. I wish I could see the "wrong face" after it told me it was wrong, I seemed to have missed all of those. Really nice art and music.
Woah! I didn't account for a 4 digit score as you can see hahah. Well done. Also, showing what was wrong is a really good suggestion
