How does your game meet GBJam's theme
The titular souls are souls of the long dead, i had an idea that you would delve into the caverns to bring them back.
The souls are old and precious since they're people, so that's how it's meant to match the theme.

I didn't have enough time to fully realise my idea though, so it doesn't come across in the actual game.

Slashing animation feels really smooth and powerful, visuals look pretty great overall. Nice selection of colors!

A shame you didn't have enough time to finish everything you wanted for the game. Still, this is still a really neat tech demo!

Nice one! Congrats on submitting your game. The teal cave ambience is an interesting look. Sad to see  you couldn't really implement everything you wanted. I'm looking forward to seeing a post-jam version!

A really minor bug: Slashing while walking diagonally breaks the walking animation.

This is a very cool looking game. I love the colors you chose, especially the red. The combat felt great, and didn't feel unfair. I could totally see this being further fleshed out. Good job!

The red on teal really popped, especially in the sword animation. Having that big wash of red cut across the screen made every hit feel brutal.

The exploring and combat are a good start. It's unfinished, but the mood is really good. I’d be interested to see where you take it after the jam. Giving you a follow and adding it to my inpso collection. Would love if you could review my game too!

Great job on submitting your game! I loved the color palette choice and art! All around I think you've got a good start to a full game here. I'd be curious to see what more you may have in store for this one.

Nice game! Your game popped out to me because of the color palette. I didn't really now what to do with the inventory though?

The inventory was a feature i made just to learn how to make one, i didn't have a real plan for it and then i ran out of time for the jam.
So for the moment it doesn't really do anything :p but i do want to make improvements and updates at some point.

Thanks for playing!

Nice exploring and combat, but sadly the game seem incomplete, the exploring was good, even for just a few minutes.

Jeez, that sword swiping animation is one of the cleanest I've ever seen! You've got a knack for art, that's for sure.

The attack animation looks gorgeous !
For info, the music is very low compared to most games I tested.

I reached the door but didn't find a way past so I guess that was the end of the current state, I think it's a very good start, some hits didn't register and some enemies can see you through walls but the mood is there and the difficulty balancing (your weapong reach and your speed vs the mouse's for example) is well done !
