How does your game meet GBJam's theme
My game is about finding the ancient legendary city of “EL DORADO.” The main mechanic and core loop revolve around managing gold within an inventory. Once the gold is in the inventory, it can be spent to obtain power-ups during the turns.

The art is just so fantastic. And I love the theme; mesoamerican civ is fantastic. And I like what you did with the shader; it seems against the spirit of the jam to me, but also, it looks really good, and that seemed like an effect I would use on my game if I were to continue with it.

The graphics and music are amazing!
Even though the gameplay is simple, it's really addictive.
It took me a while to figure out how to access the menu on the right (healing and stuff), but once I figured it out, I managed to beat the game :)
Really cool!

Amazing visuals and amazing gameplay. The gameplay loop was fun despite the combat being simple. I didn't understand the gold during the first run, but reading the description made its purpose pretty clear. I personally don't like that choosing an option on the side makes your attack worse, but it's a fine mechanic. If you expand on this game, I would love to see more item variety and more interactions with the backpack (gaining more spaces, rotating items), but for a jam this game rocks.

This game puts all its focus into such a condensed, polished package of a simple and addictive gameplay loop. Well done!!!

Killer game! Lots of fun with a nice balance between strategy, tactics, and action. The visual and audio presentation is stellar. I really love the clean and detailed pixel art! My only gripe was using the side menu. While in theory I like the sacrifice of attack to choose an alternate option, I did find I was stumbling to figure out which action it would highlight first when I hit 'right'.

Fantastic game that I hope lots of people check out!

Lovely backpack packing combat and an interesting idea with the attack bar becoming weaker over time, which makes it more strategical to decide if I can use a gold skill or not. My main issue here is the constant full screen flash which we are getting a lot, and the screen palette changing, which although I don’t hate, I feel like it should be slowed down a bit.

Graphics wise the game looks gorgeous, really nice spritework everywhere. Music and sfx were a banger and the change of pace in the attack bar was a cool difficulty curve.

overall a lovely entry to the jam!

The art and music are incredible. Everything feels super polished, and the transitions and animation really show off what you can do with a limited palette.

I also really liked the combat loop. Juggling your inventory, spending gold, healing, and still trying to get attacks in made it way more frantic than I expected.

Really impressive work, especially for a 10-day jam.

This is a really solid entry! The music was groovy and the sprite work is phenomenal! Even the SFX was well made and placed. Absolutely wonderful to actually have a copy of this on the go on the Game Boy. Amazingly polished despite the short time frame. I really have nothing but praise for this. Wonderful and amazing job really!

Great game, and super addictive!

Wow, the art is absolutely incredible. I have no idea how you pulled this off with those transitions while staying within the 4-color on screen at any given time requirement, but this is genuinely the most beautiful game I've played in this jam so far. Music was awesome too, it was fast paced and really fit the gameplay. Great job.
