Gameplay is solid, albeit a touch finicky. I managed to glitch out the sword stab and make her have the sword out indefinitely, moving without animation once this was done. Sometimes spikes seemed to obstruct your path before they came up.
The graphics could've use some contrast tweaking, especially in the first area. Having the protagonist and the floor be mostly the same color makes everything kinda blend together. Either a lighter hue, or a darker hue (which I encountered later) helps to make it more clear where the main character is. The darker hue, however, obscures the spikes instead, making it really easy to careen into them. On actual hardware with less-than-perfect light, the darkest and the dark hues look not horribly different.
In some areas, stabbing with the sword made parts of the health/stamina HUD not display due to overloading the sprite limit.
Without any sword swing in the action combat, I could see bump combat with the sword always out working pretty well.
Music was good, and probably the highlight of the game.
This game's concept feels right at home on GameBoy.
