Hey, I checked out MISHEAR and the concept immediately caught my attention. I really like the idea of using sound and mishearing as part of the horror instead of relying purely on what the player sees. It makes you wonder whether what you're hearing is actually what happened, which is a pretty interesting way to create tension.

I was curious, how are you currently approaching the game's visibility and getting people to discover it?

Are you mainly relying on itch.io and organic discovery, or are you also promoting it through places like TikTok, YouTube or social media?

Hey! Thanks so much for the kind words and for reaching out!

To give you a bit of context, MISHEAR was built specifically as a game jam entry. Right now, our team is planning to pivot towards a different game style and concept for our upcoming projects, so we don't have immediate plans to expand MISHEAR—though that could always change in the future!

Because of that, we haven't started active social media marketing yet. However, once we kick off our new games (or if we ever decide to fully expand MISHEAR), we will definitely be launching TikTok, YouTube, and other socials to share development progress.

Thanks again for checking out the game and showing interest in our journey!

Hey SenziDev, thanks so much for the detailed response, really appreciate the context!

MISHEAR is genuinely impressive for a game jam entry, the sound based horror concept is executed really well, and it speaks to a lot of skill and clear creative vision on your team's part. You should all be proud of that.

Good to hear you're pivoting toward new projects though, that's an exciting next step. Once you do kick things off, what's the plan for visibility this time around? I'm curious whether you're thinking of building an audience early through dev logs and social content from the start, or focusing more on finishing a solid demo first before pushing visibility, would love to hear how you're approaching that for the upcoming games.
