A real thinker with quick satisfying rounds! Never would've thought that taking away the rotation mechanic could add so much depth. Also love the art, from the UI to the full Taotie sprite.
The absence of rotation is due to the fact that the map of our game is a little wider than it is high (same as a bowl). Therefore, most blocks are 3 blocks wide and only 2 blocks high in their basic position. This way we support the balance between horizontal and vertical gameplay. At one point in the design we even decided that the blocks would rotate, but in the end we removed that feature. I'm glad we did.
I'm sure he does love NOOODLES!!! Hank dit a great work with artwork. It's also my first time creating music so it was tough, but I enjoyed it a lot. Thank you so much.!!
Finally my skills of spam dropping unrotated tetris blocks comes into play. Really fun spin on the stacking blocks concept. Also the art for the ancient spirit is so sick.
