Can't go wrong with a Mario like platformer. All worked perfectly, easy to get into and pick up. Nice simple inputs and attack. Felt like a proper old school game. Struggled a bit with the 2nd boss. Nothing to fault really on this fun game. Very nicely done.

That's interesting sidescroller/platformer. Controls are also quite good. Game art is good. But for me game feels a bit too punishing as health bar drains out too quickly and I get damage and almost die from touching any enemy or lava/water lake. Did not finished the game - second boss for me was too hard and too frustrating :)

Totally nailed the gameboy aesthetic. A great classic old school platform game. I love that in order to prove his innocence of murdering a granny he then has to murder countless hunters. Love the lunge attack. This is a game that leaves you wanting more levels. Great fun,, really enjoyed it.

I'm really impressed that you did all this by yourself in the allotted time. The art gave that classic gameboy vibe and the music blended in really well. The controls were a little awkward, I think I would have done better if I had a space bar for one of the actions. I enjoyed how you had the tutorial built in to the game. The sprite work was really nice.

Really cool pixelart game! I got to the bossfight room but nothing happens? Not sure if his is a bug or if it just wasn’t implemented yet?image.png

Really good jam game was difficult to get used to controls but the bite mechanic is great. So satisfying to multichain enemies. Great work well done.

Music is great too

Absolutely LOVED your game! It brought me back to gameboy times. This felt like a game that WOULD be on the gameboy. The art, music, gameplay, everything was amazing. I'm not 100% sure on the educational value, but dang I would play an entire game of this. I think the bosses could use some personality, but the fact that they had mechanics in a jam is amazing.

Love the look, especially the 'bite' action!  so many nice details in here -- definitely recommend using the arrow keys to play instead of WASD.

The final boss fight was hard to interact with, since the attack took you all the way across the screen and guaranteed a death in the lava on the side. The hit box for the boss in all stages was a little weird and inconsistent, but otherwise a very solid effort that was fun to play.

I liked the mini intro, and the level design progression is really good. Nice retro art too. Pretty fun movement/attack overall, but also inconsistent at times due to the speed and sometimes the level design. Overall, it's a great project, well done!

This is nice work! Cool idea. The large dash-attack felt like it travelled more than I expected every time, couldn't get used to it. But solid work anyway, interesting levels from what I saw (I also had to give up, was too hard for my sausage fingers). Good work ;)

Pretty cute jump and run love the art style alot but the level 3 is so freaking hard I gave up TT____TT

Really enjoyed what I played of this one, the art and audio was nice and cohesive and the movement felt decent overall (I do wish I had a bit more dash control). I played with controller as it felt more comfortable then the keyboard bindings.

really fun game and a nice spin off the story. Art and retro sounds work super well and love the movement especially the attacking. Will be going back to complete this for sure.

Loved the art for this!  Couldn't get past the second boss, but that was a skill issue, not a game issue :-P.
