Curiosity got us the King!

The game looks great. I especially dig the split screen cg when you confront Aurelio and also the coffin cg from the Life ending. And yeah, I got the Life ending first try which I assume is the good ending. I really liked it.

The UI looks lovely. The only nitpick I can think of is that it is hard to tell which option is selected when you play keyboard/gamepad, at least for my crappy eyes. Also the quick time events were well chosen and thank you for making them optional so everyone can play your game.

The story and setting are amazing. It made me really curious about the lore and how other people see trans people.

The intro is great at establishing Pascual as an absolute prick but I found it slightly confusing. I had a hard time figuring out who I am playing. Without the transphobia warning I would have been a bit lost what was going on. Especially as the fantasy names are lovely but unfamiliar so I didn't know what gender they refer to.

Thank you for making the game. The whole team did a great job!

Thank you very much! I will keep this in mind for future games and I appreciate such detailed feedback. I'm very happy to hear you enjoyed it!

  1. The introductory paragraph to Nicasio is ambiguous (but I’ve already spoken to you about it)
  2. Game over does not… lead to a game over? It restarts from the last paragraph.
  3. The background art is lovely, reminds me of old cartoons. It’s a shame there is not more consistency, since half of the backgrounds are photo-bashed (or so I assume) and the other are hand-drawn.
  4. It would be nice if there was more movement with the sprites. (Which is to say there is some, just took a while to reach it as a player.)
  5. Bonus points for dyslectic font!
  6. You spelled “Gardner” instead of “Gardener”(or was that intentional?)
  7. I cannot claim to understand why the game ended in the manner it did, but, the ending CGs was sweet. Overall, my experience with the game was a positive one.
