this is a really cool idea! i did struggle to find out the mechanics and possibilities at the start, perhaps the tutorial could be a bit clearer. the game itself is really cool and i love the atmosphere!

Developer

I did the tutorial and the levels in a rush at the last two hours of the jam XD

I might give it the levels it deserve when the jam end...

Thanks for your feedback :)

I made my life pretty hard for myself by only using one tree/root at the start haha, got it figured out though. Such an out-of-pocket idea, but I love it, nice stuff!

Developer

This could be a good challenge to try beatting the game with only one root XD

Thanks for playing !

You had me at "You are a tree trying to move a piano". The house scene with the tiled roof and the colorful trees looks lovely. This was a fun mechanic with a great art style. Great solo effort!

Developer

Thank you ! I am getting better at doing these littles games :)

Love the mechanic and love the art. A little buggy though.

Developer(+1)

Even with most of my time spent trying to get the roots working, It is still the buggiest thing ever XD

Sometime they disconnect for no reason from the door or window... I still have no Idea why :]

Thank for your feedback !

yo this is impressive as hell, amazing concept and idea!

Developer

Thanks you !

It was certainly an innovative game. The piano bgm was probably created by the piano that had fallen (sorry for my terrible jokes)

Developer

I planned to make a little animation for the piano, like if it was actually playing the soundtrack !

Thanks for playing my game :)

I love the music and the idea! I tried everything to beat level 2 but couldn't. Very fun game and I could see this being a whole puzzle game with more levels.

Developer

Thanks you ! There is actually a lot of way to beat the second level, the intended way is to pull the piano from the window, but you could also get your left root to the right to get more force, or even just brute force it with one root up the stairs (the stairs apply vertical force on the piano, it give it the littles bounces you see).

But anyway, even with a puzzle game if you work with physics there is a lot of things you didn't think of, that actually work. And a physic game is also a cheat code for fun gameplay XD

I usually plan a lot for the music, but this time I just improvised on the piano, and am more proud of this than some other work I did XD

Thanks you again for playing !

I really loved the leaf design and colours, they are very beautiful. The music was very fall-like and made for a very cozy background while playing. The rest was quite a strange but amusing physics game. Nicely done!

Developer(+1)

I actually tryed differents things for the leafs, and the whole artstyle in general. In the end I tryed going for the non-line art feel. I think the game look stange and undefined because of that. But hey at least it is original :)

Thanks for playing I will try yours when I got time !

Developer(+1)

Just played your game, I didn't realised you were a Musician ! Good Job on your work, I actually let the game play in the background while listening to your music :)

(My favourites are : Leaves dancing with the wind, and Quietness)

Hey Virtual Boo! Thank you so much for appreciating the music <3 I’ve indeed written the music for my team’s recent games. This was a particularly inspired session, perhaps I felt more nostalgic while recovering from a Covid infection, ahaha (I still am!) Anyway, I don’t know which is my favourite but perhaps one that didn’t get to the final game (you can listen to it as an extra on my soundcloud page, it’s called Landscape, people felt it was too heavy for the much needed cozyness). You were very kind to bring this up! Thanks again :)

I love how wacky this concept is! I did struggle with the controls a bit - couldn't figure out the level with two pianos where you had to get a piano onto the second floor with no stairs. Your lovely piano music helped keep me calm and cozy though, despite the chaos of my flailing root-limbs.

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks you ! Yeah I did this two piano level too late I did'n got time to playtest it :o

I'm happy you liked my piano improvisations !
