How did you interpret the themes?
We interpreted Genre Collision as a challenge to combine distinct genres into one cohesive game. After exploring a lot of ideas, we landed on a kaiju simulator that blends RTS city building, character customization, and side-scrolling PvP combat. Drawing inspiration from Age of Empires, Cities: Skylines, Mortal Kombat, and kaiju movies, we built one game with two distinct ways of playing: managing your city in an RTS-style isometric view and playing as a kaiju while rampaging and fighting 1v1. Our goal was to make these seemingly distinct mechanics become interconnected parts of a single game.

Congratulations to the latest BeziHQ Stream. You got absolutely glazed there - everyone else now has to compare to you^^
What can be said that hasn't been already? Game impresses in complexity, polish and SCOPE.
You guys said 'go big or go home' -
and, well, if you're going home then chances are you're doing so as the winner, as far as the man himself is concerned^^
I know it's kinda besides the point, and it's (sadly) not something we're getting rated on but I'm in awe with your guys' page. Where do I learn to create something like that? You got any resources to share? The parallax is blowing my mind.
Hey! Yeah i can show you how in DMs. Pretty much all CSS!
You did not lie. I really wanted to check your game, but every loading takes eternity and I doubt I could play it, since it lags a lot even in main menu, so I did not make it to tutorial.
Monstrous achievement, the sheer scale and originality of the genre maxxing is to me, a showcase of the incredible things you can build with AI in a short time scale, whilst still functioning to such a high level.
The scope perhaps almost blasted out of proportion in relation to having something that is well rounded, as sound design, and visuals, from really hitting the right feel, but for something that should all be considered placeholder, the art style beats soo many AA games already out there, or rivals them. I鈥檓 sure, within a short space of time, this will be one of the best examples of this technology, and specifically Bezi.
A dead set for the bezi challenge, and the strongest contender for the grand prize, for me.
Great job guys!
Thoroughly enjoyed your game as well! Great job, thank you so much for playing
Love how the city you build actually becomes the stage for the titan fight, the two halves feel properly connected instead of just stitched together. Huge scope for a jam, great work!
Thanks so much! We tried hard to both smash genres together and still make a cohesive game. Lovely to hear that came across!
Peak game! The fighting is a bit hard for me but also enjoyable. VFX/SFX is average, I mean good, according to jam standards...
Overall a great entry! 馃憤馃憤
Thanks so much for playing! Really glad you enjoyed it!
Absolutely love it!! there isnt any amount of words i can say to describe this, this is a good game.
Thank you for taking the time and coming back to the game! We really appreciate it. I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
The game is....... an actual game. I have no words on how peak it is... though if it was slightly more optimized, I would have played it and dominated everyone, but ig my laptop was trying to hold me back from ranking number one.
Jokes aside, this game is insane
Thank you so much for playing! Yes deifnitely oculd be optimized better, time got split between scope, multiplayer, and optimization so it was a bit of a balancing act.
Note: This is on the Guilty Games itch, since it has custom css.
What a game! The tutorial is very clear—no confusion here. I am so amazed by how you guys could pull this off at this scale. It even has a multiplayer mode! Amazing! And it is so polished too!
The fighting part is pretty hard for me; maybe I should have been more aggressive. Also, I was wondering why the gold scavenger doesn't automatically collect resources?
I also noticed that some of the VFX and SFX feel a bit "cheap." However, I understand these could just be placeholders.
Overall, I am thoroughly surprised and have to admit this looks fun, beautiful, and polished. Good submission, guys!
Thank you so much for playing and for the thoughtful feedback! It means a lot to our team. Your notes on combat, the gold scavenger, and VFX/SFX are really helpful as we continue developing the game.
We鈥檒l also be sharing an A/B comparison in our upcoming devlog! We鈥檙e excited to keep this project going, and we鈥檇 love to have you join our Discord to follow along and share more feedback. 馃檶
Thank you for playing!
