BRO, THIS IS A SERIOUSLY AMBITIOUS ZOMBIE JOURNEY HOME! 🧟‍♂️🏠🔫🔥

I really like how directly the theme is built into the gameplay — stranded workers trying to make it home through a zombie outbreak is such a natural fit. The whole presentation has that classic co-op zombie-shooter feeling, and having AI teammates fighting alongside you makes the journey feel much more alive. The scale of the maps, hordes, weapons, and overall atmosphere is seriously impressive for a jam project.

For the next step, I think the biggest improvement would be making the maps more winding and giving the zombies more ways to pressure the player, so you can't simply rush through or let the AI handle most of the danger. Performance optimization would also be important, especially when large hordes appear. The foundation is absolutely there for something much bigger.

SUCH A COOL FOUNDATION FOR A FULL GAME! 🧟‍♂️🔥🎮 With more polish, tighter level design, and stronger enemy pressure, I can definitely see this becoming a really fun full release. Great work, and good luck with the jam! 🏠💪✨

Cool zombie game, nice implemented and great IA coop players, the zombies also have a great intelligence.

Maybe for web was too heavy, i got lagged some times loading, and crash the web page twice loading the game.

Overall of that is a really cool game, good job.

Needs some polish but very reminiscent of LEFT 4 DEAD.

This was fun. I would say the levels need some more bends and winding patterns to them. I was able to run through most of the game and stay just ahead of spawning mobs.

And with the AI being so good, I never had to worry about stragglers. They handled cleanup way too well.

But the assets are there, the gameplay works and is proven, and the overall presentation is really impressive in scale and functinality.

There’s something here for sure. Keep polishing and see what it turns into.

I had a really fun time playing that one! It was actually kind of like my entry too, we both had a zombie thing. My favorite part though, was the soundtrack. That is my favorite type of music and to have it be played during those giant ambushes was really fun. I also liked the teammates the player has. It was fun to have allies.

But here are some things that I found in the game, Lag... There was so much lag. I thought it was client side at first but I saw some other comments and saw it wasn't. Also, during the barn part, there were a bit too many zombies for me. The shear amount of zombies with the lag made it almost impossible there.

with all of that aside, I would like to wish you luck with getting this a full steam release! Also, please check out my game too if you have time!

Wow, I honestly didn’t expect something like this to be made in Godot! In just 10 days, you managed to capture that aesthetic of the zombie tactics games from around the 2010s and bring it into a game engine. I also really love the little details that make it feel like you’re playing with real players.

The main issue I had was the performance. I had to restart the game three times before I could actually get into a match, and once I was playing, whenever there were too many zombies on screen, I dropped to around 2 FPS.

Another thing I’d improve is the audio, but other than that, great work! If you have some time, feel free to try my game too and let me know if you have any feedback for me! :)

I liked the visuals, and I really had a good time playing. The only thing is that I feel like sometimes the sounds can suddenly get really loud out of nowhere. Good job.

The aesthetic is beautiful, with a clear interface and intuitive controls. The game really reminded me of Left 4 Dead 2 - the main menu and character selection screen were very well done! I ran into a few performance issues when there were a lot of enemies on screen, but that might just be a problem with my PC :P. Great job!

Yeah rhe HTML port wasnt as user friendly as i had hoped but ran out of time. The windows version could load 120 with my potato without issues haha.

Glad you enjoyed it!

I'm amazed you were able to pull that much work in such little time. You nailed the aesthetics and vibe of the games of the era and the gameplay is solid enough.

The zombies could be more threatening though, they end up being pushed around or ignored with no problem. Even the horde, I was backing up and letting my bots friends handle them. I agree with the other comment about the map, the fact we can run through the maze is creating problems.

Overall an impressive work!

Very ambitious project! Definitely nailed the PS1/2 aesthetic. The melee felt good, though I found spamming it the best/only way to get through, and my finger got tired.

Would be nice to add a map, I felt like I got lost in the cornfield? It took me a long time to make it through at least, though maybe that’s the point.

I think the flow of pacing could also use some tuning – I get the swarm idea from L4D, but it seemed that I was either doing nothing, or totally overran and just swinging my katana to cut everything down. I didn’t feel like I could strategically hold a position. My other advice is just lots more polish – tracers, hit markers, more feedback that my weapon is doing something.

Cool idea, would love to see it polished and expanded! I always enjoy a good zombie shooter:)
