I have almost the same mechanics of movement. I love dogs and this game is fun, although I failed to finish it - hard to understand what's happened. Thank you for giving barking a separate button :)
You get 5 stars in sound for the cute dog bark alone, but I couldn't finish the game and ran into a game-breaking but where I got stuck in the wall and couldn't leave the room.
Fun while it lasted, though!
The pixel art is gorgeous, that dog especially, and the music is lovely
I really like the graphics, especially of the dog!! I was able to figure things out on my own, but I agree with another commenter that it could benefit from some more tutorialization since it was a little confusing at first.
I played this on stream today (recording here) in case you’re interested in watching a playthrough. I did eventually get stuck in one of the rooms somehow, but I think with some adjustments/bugfixes, there’s a lot of potential here!
Good game with nice turn-based gameplay. Wish certain elements like the enemy collision was polished and the entries to other rooms were more clear. Maybe have a tutorial explaining certain level mechanics and have a more dynamic use of the bark as well.
Other than that, though, this is a good game with a promising concept I can see being great if further polish was put into it.
Very nice visuals and music, the gameplay is clearly a work in progress but I see the potential for interesting puzzles.
Very interesting mechanics. The music was superb. The art was great, the game was a little bit glitchy, and nothing happened when the skeletons got to me. But overall, it was a great game 🔥.
The pixel art is phenomenal! I don't love the pace of the turn-based movement (I'm far too impatient), but it does feel very gameboy. I wasn't able to put down the crystal-thingy, so I'm not really sure how to avoid the enemies (and also they didn't seem to do anything to the puppy, so I just sorta walked through them haha), but I think once you get all the systems polished the mechanics here could generate some really fun puzzles (LOVE that "wait here a turn" is "bark"--so cute). Great take on the theme, and great work!
